A busy weekend here at BoglebrigAilsa’s black beauties have all headed off to their wonderful new homes so happy for you all.We met Connais show cocker spaniel puppies families on Saturday as well - which was just fabulous -there is a chocolate and tan boy and a golden female unreserved if anyone is searching.Some of Choccy’s puppies have started to fly the nest too - this is Stitch who left us at 7am this morning to go to London a big thankyou to Finlay at Pet Transport Scotland for taking him down to his new owners - what an amazing service you offer and I’d highly recommend him. We have had an older 16 week f1 apricot male cockapoo puppy boy returned to us - looking for a fresh start.
We have had him here a wee while just to get the lay of the land with him.
To be honest - he’s a really nice guy.
He hasn’t put a foot wrong with the kids, and although he is at the mouthing stage - he’s been very gentle.
He’s quiet, accepts being alone, enjoys his tucker and although I would never recommend you ever take a dogs food away from it whilst eating, in this instance I have (only once) just to get a sense of his reaction - and he was absolutely not fussed.
He loves a toy and again is fine when we take them off him.
He walks well on the lead and enjoys a wee zoomie.
It was suggested he was a bit timid but apart from his initial reaction of unsureness when returned, I haven’t experienced that with him and I’ve popped a video of him out on the farm a walk with the tractor and trailer coming up the road and he was absolutely fine.
All 3 of my kids have approached him face on at a fast pace and he’s not batted an eye lid.
He is partly house trained, it needs a bit of work, but with a bit of consistency it will come.
He’s generally a happy chap looking for someone to adore him and he really deserves it.
Only because he’s had a delayed start I’d rather he went to a home with no young small children - not because he has a problem with kids, purely only because I know how demanding my 3 kids are and I want him to be somebodies world and main focus.
Again, purely because I’d like him to have the best start possible I’d like him to go to a home with an experienced dog person (s).
He’s keeping a puppy company that’s jetting off to Orkney next week - he’s loved the company so I’d have no issue if he went to a family with an older dog (that likes other dogs and preferably a

Janet her guardian kindly shared this video of her this morning singing to Golden Brown. It’s the only song she ever sang to - and it’s just one of the many special quirky wee qualities this absolute wee Angel had.
