Is there anyone Oxford or Southampton way who could meet up with another transport volunteer and move a JRT between these 2 locations Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday please. Need to have sturdy dog guard or crate in your vehicle

Mr Hocus (and his ears!) is looking for a wonderful forever home. He is a small- to medium-sized crossbreed of mature years, who could live with other calm dogs in his new home, or could possibly live as an only dog as long as a human was home for much of the day. He can also live with older, respectful children aged 12+. It is thought he could live with a confident cat or two too, after careful introductions.

We're told that the lovely Hocus has had rather a rough life before finding his way to the safety of rescue and his foster carer says, "I still don’t think he can quite believe that there are only good things in store for him now." 💔❤️‍🩹❤️ He was not a fan of people generally when he arrived in rescue, but his carers say he has made significant progress in the time he's spent with them and now asks for a fuss. Whoever is the lucky adopter will need to be prepared to work to build their relationship with Hocus and not expect too much from him in the early weeks ✨

Hocus loves his food, enjoys doing zoomies in the garden and loves off-lead walks in secure fields 🌳

Transport help needed asap please - We need to bring a male Jack Russell Terrier into our care

Full journey is Walsall WS4 to Southampton SO30

The route seems to be M6, M42, M40, A34

Alfy is currently in kennels so we are hoping to get him moved pretty quickly. If you can help could you please send an email to [email protected] and let me know which day/s you are free and where you can pick up from and take to.

Alfy needs to travel in a safe and secure manner. Behind a sturdy dog guard or in a crate so that he can't get through to the driver.

~ If you're in the Newcastle Upon Tyne area, there's a Christmas Fun Dog Show taking place this coming Sunday, 8 December! 🐾 Oldies Club is very grateful to Take Away the Tears for deciding to donate some of the proceeds from the show to us, to help the older dogs in our care ✨

Venue address is: Carr Ellison House, William Armstrong Drive, Newcastle Upon Tyne, NE4 7YA

Registration opens at midday on 8 December and classes start at 12:30pm.

There are fun classes for your dogs, along with Christmas gifts for sale, information stalls and refreshments.

Meet Rufus 💜 Rufus is an 11 years old Chihuahua who has just arrived in Oldies Club care. He will be under assessment for at least the next few weeks in his foster home in Wiltshire. Once fully assessed and ready for rehoming a full writeup will feature on our website.

We need to move a Chihuahua from Newark (NG24) to Calne SN12. Approx 3 hours 15 minutes. Rufus will need to travel in a safe and secure manner so they can't get through to the driver. In crate or behind dog guard. If you can assist please email [email protected] advising day/s available and where you can collect from and take to thanks.

~ Little Sunny, our new Old Dog of the Week, is a big personality in a little package. He'd love your help finding him a wonderful forever home:

Sunny is a 12-year-old Fox Terrier x Jack Russell Terrier who found his way into rescue when his previous family emigrated. He is looking for a retirement home with adults only and where he's the only resident animal. He is a happy little chap who just wants a simple life with plenty of cuddles, nice walks and a good range of toys to play with! ⚽️

Sunny has spent time living at the rescue's boarding kennels and being walked by volunteers. He loves his walks and has had several walks with other dogs and been absolutely fine, but he can be reactive to other random dogs he may encounter while out and about. Given his size, this should be something a suitable person can manage successfully, and his current carer works hard to provide him with a calm environment so he can gain confidence ✨

Sunny has settled well in a home environment when in foster. We're told he has impeccable table manners and a gentle mouth when taking treats. His foster carer says he really wants to be a good boy and is very bright. When he had to return to kennels for a short time, a volunteer noted he was much more friendly and less reactive following his stay in foster :-)
