This Week on Farm Watch 🚜 The Starlings Have Arrived! 😶
While we love feeding every hungry beak, starlings can take over the feeder, preventing other birds from getting their share. To give your robins, blue tits, and other small birds a fair chance, try using a Ground Guard over a ground feeder. Meanwhile, leave a hanging feeder in a separate area for the starlings. This allows the little bird to slip through the guard and enjoy their meal in peace. 🐦❤️
Check out the Ground Guard we used 👇

This week on Farm Watch 🚜 It's been an incredible year for foxgloves! 🌸 They've grown to twice their normal height and are more abundant than ever on our farm. Thanks to the slow arrival of warm weather and ongoing wet conditions, foxgloves are thriving this year. The rainy and cool spring had its perks! 🌱 Have a great weekend everyone!

It's National Nest Box Week! 🪺
Running every year from February 14th to 21st, Nest Box Week marks the start of the bird breeding season. During this time, everyone is encouraged to install nest boxes in their gardens and outdoor spaces to support bird reproduction efforts. This help is vital as it gives them a fighting chance to increase their population, which has declined significantly over the years.
To celebrate this wonderful awareness week, we have special offers on selected nest boxes that will not only offer a safe haven for garden birds but also enhance the beauty of any outdoor area.
This sale ends at midnight on 21/02/2024. SHOP NOW 👉 https://bit.ly/3OJ8cns

This week on Farm Watch 🚜🎄
It's been nothing short of merry and bright as we officially welcomed the festive spirit! We gathered around and adorned our farm with the glow of lights and decorations. Our festive centrepiece? A beautiful Christmas tree! But the real star of the show is none other than our loyal farm dog, Alfie! With a wagging tail, he gave his paw of approval to the farm's new addition. 🐾
We hope you have a wonderful weekend full of warm wishes and festive cheer!
Will we be lucky enough to get a visit from the magnificent Bee-eaters again?😍
This time last year, these technicolour wonders took up residency in Trimingham, near Cromer, and the bee-eater fledglings soon followed! They usually nest in southern Europe and North Africa before heading down to South Africa in winter. Fingers crossed they make an appearance again this year!
Watch this Blue Tit fledgling leave the nest for the very first time 🥹
Have you seen any fledglings in your garden yet? Many wonder what to do when they see a young bird on the floor, and all you need to do is leave them be. The parents are likely to be nearby and will continue to feed and care for their young until they learn to fend for themselves. Protection Plates for Nest Boxes
Keep your nesting birds safe this spring by installing protection plates to your nest boxes 🪺
Predators such as squirrels, crows, magpies and woodpeckers may try to enlarge the hole to gain access and eat nesting eggs. These copper protection plates are easy to fit and will stop predators from breaking away at the entrance.
