A flipping good pancake recipe your dogs will love 🐶
🥞 1 Ripe Bananas
🥞 1 Large egg
🥞 100g Plain white flour
🥞 1/2 tsp cinnamon
🥞 100ml Water
🥞 1 tsp Peanut butter (Xylitol free)
🥞 1 tsp Coconut Oil
🥞 Cottage cheese and blueberries (optional)
👩🏻‍🍳 Step 1: Peel and mash the banana in a bowl using a fork
👩🏻‍🍳 Step 2: Add the egg and whisk to combined
👩🏻‍🍳 Step 3: Add the flour and peanut butter and whisk again until a thick paste is formed
👩🏻‍🍳 Step 4: Slowly add the water, whisking as you go to loosen the mixture until a batter is formed
👩🏻‍🍳 Step 5:Add the coconut oil and heat a non stick frying pan to a medium heat
👩🏻‍🍳 Step 6: Once the pan is hot, add a large spoonful of mixture to the pan and spread slightly with the back of the spoon so the mixture is a rough circle
👩🏻‍🍳 Step 7: Cook until it starts to bubble slightly and then using a spatula flip onto it’s other side.
👩🏻‍🍳 Step 8: Once golden on both sides remove and set aside. Repeat until all the mixture is used
👩🏻‍🍳 Step 9: Allow to cool fully before serving to your dog, top with extra peanut butter! Our dogs love a little cottage cheese and chopped blueberries 🫐

Responsible dog owner course before getting a dog! What do you think?

This is a follow on from the conversation on Good Morning Britain earlier today.

Here are my thoughts.

In short no because I think it will be impossible to police however I have noticed a larger volume of dogs since the pandemic that are either fear reactive or owners with no control over their dogs with recall and I would love to see positive change.

If your dog is further than a collar grab away from you they really should be trained to the level that they immediately recall on command. If not they should stay on lead or long line.

Having two small children and having lost my beautiful Lulu (seen on left) we have thought about opening our home to another dog but I’m not ready and also I don’t think a rescue would be appropriate until the children are a little older and better trained to have respectable boundaries and when I can trust my children to do as I’ve taught them.…they are pretty good but not perfect.

Also dog owners do need to understand about the ladder of aggresion as a dog rarely goes from calm to bite.

An example when the Lulu would yawn and try and walk away when the boys were being too hyper and I would allow her to leave the room and not allow the boys to follow until she felt she wanted to come back.

There are in my opinion very few bad dogs but more owners failing to recognise signs of discomfort or refusing to act. That’s a mindset which I’m not sure you can overcome in a single one day course - similar to a theory test.

Before your celebrations get underway I wanted to take some time to say a huge thank you for all your support in 2022.

Frank and Jellys - The Natural Canine Company has always been not just a company but a community who support and help each other and we cultivate friendships and bonds despite having never met.

No less was true this year when you frankly kept us from going under when Teddy was diagnosed with leukaemia in April. You stayed loyal where you could to us over Amazon and you kept my team employed at a very stressful time.

I will always always be grateful to your support. Here’s to an amazing 2023 I have so much planned to share with you and I wanted to close the chapter of an exhausting and painful year but I will always be grateful as without the foundation of dog nutrition I don’t think I could have helped teddy navigate cancer with good nutrition.

Lots of love to you all. And have a class for me. No way am I making it till midnight 😘
