I set up this company in 2018, after I adopted my rescue dog Taz (aka Tazzy Bear). Taz was a timid boy who lacked confidence and could often be very reactive towards people and dogs. Having grown up with rescue dogs I knew that with a bit of hard work and bags of patience I'd have a loving and loyal dog in no time. So, I invested in some behavioural training and attended canine behaviour workshops
, which worked a treat!
Working with Taz helped me to realise my own potential. I took the plunge and gave up my job at the Home Office to start dog walking and pet sitting as a full time career. I am trustworthy, fully insured, DBS checked and pet first aid trained. I will only use a rewards based, force-free approach with all animals. I attend regular training courses and workshops and I also volunteer at puppy training classes () where I am continually learning new skills that I teach my doggy clients. This not only ensures that I can provide the best possible care for your pet, but it also makes their walks with me a lot more fun!

It's been such an eventful and busy week this week. And I actually remembered to take some pictures!
Monday was boarder collie Bramble's first group walk. She's a little timid with humans and some dogs, so we've had a slow introduction to built up a good bond with me before introducing her to the group. She did amazingly well and even had a good play with the other dogs. Of course it helped that all the other dogs were all super friendly and very patient with her 🥰
Wednesday was strictly come dancing day.... apparently! Sholto and Mango were doing the foxtrot and Margot was showing Max how to roll over. They all looked very graceful 😂
Friday was parkour day. We basically just jumped on, over or ran under any type of surface we could find. Lots of fun for the doggies and it requires lots of coordination.
Millie, Bam and Greta have been with me the longest so they're all pros at it now. They're so confident at climbing and jumping on just about anything now (of course it always helps when there's treats on offer) 😁
Can't wait to see what next week brings!

Here's a few of our gorgeous boys and girls from last week.
I've been doing a few extra walks recently to help out some doggos who's usual walker fractured her ankle! 🥺
It's nice to have some extra pals on groups, but I think they're definitely missing Clare and their usual gang. Hope you are resting up Clare and you'll be back walking soon ❤️

We had some lovely adventures last week 😍.
We also got to welcome Jac back to group walks! We'd really missed him while he was away. But he settled straight back into the swing of things...by which I mean he's not forgotten how to give the best cuddles and to charm us into giving him all the treats 😂.

We have also had another new starter this week. Little Dobby who is just so adorable! Her beautiful brown eyes just melt my heart 😍.

We've been very busy settling in a few new starters recently.
We are so pleased to welcome Cassie, Ollie, Basil and Rita. They've all had at least two walks now and have completely settled in to their groups. They've taken everything in their stride and even made some new best pals 🥰🐾

Here's a few pictures of some of our gang this week.
I had two very positive walks today.
The first was Max. He's a very energetic and super friendly boy who started out on group walks. Unfortunately his energy got too much for our groups and he has to go onto solo walks for a while. Today was his first walk back with the group and he's was a little star! He waited for the other dogs to initiate play and when they stopped he didn't pester. Well done Max we're very proud of you 🤩
The second walk was Stanley. Stanley is a rescue who can be very timid around people he doesn't know. I've been slowly building up trust with him in the garden, until I felt confident that he was ok with me. Today I walked in, clipped on his lead and, after a slight pause, he came straight out on a walk with me! This was a huge breakthrough and means that he'll feel comfortable with me when I'm dog sitting and when he eventually joins group walks. Well done Stanley you are such a sweetheart ❤️❤️❤️

Diary of a Tazzy Bear Lockdown Day 20 I quite liked today. The weather has been much cooler so I was able to have a proper snooze in the garden while mum did a few jobs. Occasionally I'd wake up and mum would give me a belly rub or a treat, then I'd fall back to sleep again. When I started to get a bit bored mum gave me my puzzle to do. I'd not played with it for a while so I couldn't remember how I used to get the treats out. Anyway, I managed to get them all but mum said I'd broken it. I didn't break it! I just made a few modifications. It's now easier for me to get the treats next time. It's a puzzle and I solved it. Diary of a Tazzy Bear Lockdown Day 16 Today was bath day. I don't like bath day. I don't like the hose pipe, I don't like the shampoo and I definitely do not like how my fur goes all fluffy when I've dried off. It's going to take me ages to calm down the frizz, and get all the clean off. I smell like shampoo now and mum keeps sniffing me! I'll have to find some poo to roll in again, that should do the trick. After the bath we went for our walk. It was quieter today so I got to explore the river again. On my usual patrol of the riverbank I came across very shifty looking rock. I tried to figure out who'd put it there but I couldn't see the culprit. I'll check again tomorrow to see if someone claims it. When I was done investigating the rock I tried to get my revenge on mum by pulling her in the water.
