I am an animal lover and a professional dog walker, particularly experienced with breeds such as Huskies, Labradors, Retrievers, Labradoodles, Greyhounds and Italian Greyhounds, Hungarian Vizslas, Yorkshire Terriers, Pomeranians, Schnauzers, Cavapoos, Cockerpoos, Maltipoos, and Maltishi's. I have fostered many cats for the Cat Protection League, providing a place of safety and reassurance before t

hey were homed. I have also previously done voluntary work with the Cinnamon Trust and walking dogs for them. I offer a dog walking service, a pop-in service for cats and small animals, and I can also board your pet. I am registered and fully insured. I can provide testimonials and DBS documentation. “I started volunteering at the Happy Pants Ranch 6 years ago. I had retired after working for major communications companies in London for 38 years.
Retirement hit me hard... having looked forward to it for a few years, I realised it would be difficult to fill my days profitably: there's only so much Prime and Netfix binge watching you can do without wondering what the purpose is of life in your Autumn season stage.

I started volunteering at the Ranch, after an induction by owner Amey. Her enthusiasm and love of animals was immediately infectious. I started by volunteering for a morning a week and now? Well, it's my second home.

I love ensuring that the animals receive the best possible care. I love working with dedicated volunteers, both young and old..many of these will be friends for life. I love working with volunteers with special needs...it's heart-warming to see them grow in confidence working alongside all the animals...animals are a great leveller.

I love meeting and working with work experience volunteers, company give back day volunteers, school and college volunteers. The Ranch affords so many opportunities to so many people.

I feel my life has purpose now...I can give something back, I'm fitter than ever and am surrounded by amazing people and animals.

To close this place would be an absolute crime, both for the animals and people who volunteer."
