Physiotherapy is an integrated part of veterinary care and can only be carried out with veterinary consent. By law (Veterinary Surgeons Act) treatment cannot be carried out without permission from a vet. A typical treatment will last approximately 60-90 minutes and it will involve ascertaining a detailed medical history, gait analysis, joint range of motion assessment and soft tissue assessment. T

his leads onto treatment of any problem areas identified, areas of compensation and the development of a supporting exercise regime. Whether your horse is experiencing developmental problems, recovering from surgery or lameness or simply feeling the effects of age, physiotherapy can help sustain pain free, functional and efficient movement.
