I had the loveliest time looking after these furbabies, for three small doggies they each have the biggest personalities and I am already missing them so much 🥹 oh and Billy the tortoise of course, don’t be fooled he is super speedy and tries his best to keep up with the doggies 😄🐢🥇
Some beautiful furbabies on their recent walks and visits 🥰
Marshall has some advice for his furry friends during the heatwave..
1. Very early or very late walks, if your dog doesn’t go stir crazy if they miss a walk then it may be best to leave it completely until we are past the worst of this heat!🥵
2. Regularly refresh water bowls to encourage them to drink little and often.
3. If you are able to set up a doggy paddling pool in your garden in the shade then great!🐶
4. Marshall loves his cool vest, we got ours from pets at home. This will need to be regularly taken off and refreshed with cool water. (Using a wet towel or flannel will have the same effect but if they are like Marshall they may shake it off straight away 🙈)
5. Freezing mashed up sweet potato, or banana, or using dog friendly peanut butter, or even wet food and freezing it will keep them entertained for a while 😄
6. We don’t have a cool mat for Marshall to lay on as he is a bit of a prince and if it isn’t soft and fluffy he won’t lay on it! But I know most normal dogs quite like to cool down on them 😄
7. You may have noticed in the video I used a mist spray bottle too which is nice for him and for us in this heat!🫠
8. And sticking a fan in front of them on a low and comfortable setting will help too!🙂
These are just a few suggestions but please leave a comment if you can recommend anything else that you find helps your dog stay cool.
Stay safe and keep cool ☀️
If you got it, flaunt it 🤩😂😆
