If we can inspire even one person a month to train their dogs through the knowledge we give them it sure does bring the biggest smile to our faces. The regular updates we get from our owners is such a joy to see so we wanted to share some of them here to celebrate what brilliant people we work with and how so very lucky these dogs are to have such dedicated and understanding people in their lives ;

2 - Lucy and Mila - Terrier cross who recently finished 6 months of training learning new games fulfilling prey drives and relationship through play
3 - Dani and Shadow - Collie cross spaniel pup from 2 years ago practicing super strong heel work
4 - Jess and Mable - practicing retrieve work through play off lead
5- Luke and Fudge - practicing impulse control through the leave it skill
6 - Mike and Bruno - practicing place work around the house and learning to take direction
7 - Zoe and Mabel - Practicing recall at the beach off lead

Me and Dad have been training Scout every morning for 4 weeks and yesterday was the first time we let him off the lead with our fantastic groups 🥰 He was able to show us everything he had learnt and we were so chuft! Recall and Alone time
I believe there are 2 main skills a dog should be learning as soon as they are home; a solid recall and alone time. Bella, Shadow, Otis and Nala are all pups that have been through my programme and are still today consistent in the skills they have learnt. Dog training is all about consistency. Dog training is a lifestyle! To me, these two skills are fundamental into a happier and healthier dog. It’s great to see even 3 years in, Nala still practicing the obedience she has learnt. You can train this to any breed, any age, the sooner you do it the better. Once it’s in, it’s in! You just need ensure you’re always keeping on top of it so the dog doesn’t slide back into any bad habits. Simple! #dogtraining #workingwithdogs #lancingwestsussex #westsussex

Give chews under supervision, especially young puppy’s. Take away small bits of chew if you’re not comfortable with your dog swollowing it. I love to give chews to the dogs when I need to keep them busy whilst I’m busy. Some example would be : when we’re having dinner- when we’ve got guests round - when they need to burn some energy (chewing is as good as a walk!) Chews are good in general because they provide natural stimulation. Basically, dogs love to chew! So I’ve always got them in the cupboard - stock up Browns Natural Pet Store ! 😉 #dogchews #dogmentalstimulation #workingwithdogs
