🍂 Autumn Safety Reminder for Dog Owners 🍂

As we head into the autumn months, wild mushrooms are popping up everywhere — in woods, parks and even our own gardens. While some fungi are harmless, many can be toxic or even deadly to dogs if eaten. 🍄‍🟫 🍄

⚠️ Symptoms of mushroom poisoning in dogs can include vomiting, diarrhoea, drooling, weakness, tremors or seizures.

⚠️ Because it’s so hard to tell which mushrooms are safe, it’s best to assume all wild mushrooms are dangerous.

✅ Tips to keep your dog safe this autumn:
• Keep a close eye on them during walks.
• Use a lead if they’re prone to sniffing or nibbling.
• Check your garden for mushrooms and remove them promptly.
• If you suspect your dog has eaten a mushroom, contact your vet immediately.
