✨Congratulations to Storm who has now graduated from weight club!✨

This lovely girl began seeing the nursing team back in March to help her lose some weight. Storm and her owners have worked hard to stick to her diet to help her reach a healthy body condition.

🌾 Grass seed season is upon us again!🌾
Hasn't that come round quickly? Since the first week of June we have seen a handful of dogs with grass seeds in their paws and ears.

We recommend taking extra caution when walking your pets in grassy areas and to check them over thoroughly after walks. Checking for any grass seeds stuck in the coat, paws, mouth and opening of the ears.

Please get in touch with the practice if you think your pet may have a grass seed stuck or have any concerns 🐾

🐱Did you know that from the 10th June 2024, cats in England will need to be microchipped by the time they are 20 weeks old.

🐱A microchip is a very small transponder device (about the size of a grain of rice) that is placed under the skin. The microchip contains a unique 15-digit code that can be read by a scanner. The owners contact details that are related to the number can be accessed on a central database, should your pet ever go missing.

🐱We usually recommend having your cat microchipped at the time of neutering, but this can be done in consult with a Vet or Nurse also if required.

🐱It is important to keep your contact details up to date on the corresponding database, to ensure your pet can be reunited with you should they go missing.

🐱For more information, please contact the practice on 01227 264915 or have a read on- https://www.gov.uk/get-your-dog-cat-microchipped

Lovely Boots has been a regular here since the beginning of the year 🐶
He sadly broke 3 toes back in January and has been having bandage changes twice weekly since to stabilise the fractures whilst they heal.
Boots takes everything in his stride and has been a star ✨

Your pets, our world

Whitstable Bay Vets is owned by husband and wife team Adam and Vicky. After several years of searching and planning, we found the perfect place to open our dream practice and opened our doors for the first time in August 2016.

It’s important to us that our practice feels warm and welcoming – for you and your pets, so we designed it with our patients’ and their humans comfort and convenience in mind. We have a spacious car park and lovely gardens where you can wait with your dog if the weather is nice, comfy sofas in the waiting room and a dedicated, quiet, cat ward with dimmable lighting for our feline friends. Some of our patients even enjoy coming to see us :)

Every member of our team believes passionately that how we do things is just as important as what we do. Five deep-seated values underpin every aspect of our approach to veterinary medicine and customer care: friendliness, community, integrity, sustainability and happiness.

If we haven’t met yet you’re welcome to come in for a look around and a chat. We’re proud of what we do and would love you to become part of our extended family!
