This post was on the page 2 years ago and I find it quote poignant today.

We are still working on tillys tension areas and with the help of pain killers and other professionals we are making good progress.

It could be easy for us (me specifically as a canine bodywork professional) to wonder why we were unable to pin point where the pain was and feel like we have failed her. However tilly is a dog who covers things so well it would be really hard to find these things.

So we have worked with various other professionals to come at the issue from various angles in the hope of fixing it quicker.

The point I'm trying to get at is that some dogs cover their issues so we'll that it is almost impossible to find the exact cause. As long as your doing all you can to help and using all the help available then that is all you can do. This does not mean by any means you are failing your animal.

It's common for owners to beat themselves up and feel bad because they feel they have allowed their dog to suffer. Sometimes it just takes a little longer to sort and know that you will get there somehow.

If you would like your dog checked for tension or just for a lovely pampering massage session get I touch now. We all need some tlc and down time.

Well storm barra was starting to hit yesterday afternoon but before it was too bad it meant me and the halfahusky could go out and have fun by ourselves with no interruptions from other people.

Now as some of you know tilly has anxiety issues that affect her physically and mentally and because of this she has now been retired from all her hobbies as she just was struggling to cope. She is now living her best life on lovely walks and having fun in other ways.

Yesterday we had a simple walk and I decided to try and incorporate some confidence building stuff in as it was windy and because of this there was stuff moving around her everywhere and at times it was loud. This can sometimes be a trigger for her and she gets a bit worried. However yesterday we tried some basic scentwork (one of her favourite pastimes) including putting her paws on stuff and getting up on stuff to build confidence. It was lovely to see her enjoying these tasks with a waggy tail and not bothered about what was going on around her.

It's not the best technical scentwork but since it's just for fun we don't over complicate as this is what can make it hard for her to cope. We kept it simple and ended once high leaving a lasting +ve association.

Did anyone else do anything interesting in the horrid weather yesterday??

A bit of a delayed post but Thursday was my favourite kind of session, A POODLE SESSION 🐩 .

Whilst I was called to poodaroo hq for the poodaroo himself Mr Charlie bear, he was having a special Charlie kind of a day and decided that playing with his spanner brother was much more interesting, so his poodle brother gorgeous goose was only to happy to take his place and take advantage of the massage on offer.

With this being goose first experience it was all very lovely and he VERY much enjoyed himself frequently yawning and dozing off on his feet (which is exactly what we want). I have no doubt his following sessions will be eagerly received.

A busy weekend last week but I did include seeing this handsome boy again after a long time.

He loved his session so much he actually fell asleep and almost sleep walked out to the car afterwards. He was a puppy last time I saw him and his owners have done an amazing job keeping him in great shape and his muscle definition on his back end is just outstanding.

He is an absolute pleasure to work on and it makes my job so much more pleasurable when the dog falls asleep, showing just how much they are enjoying it.

I can't wait to see him again next time for another session where he will hopefully have another lovely sleep again 🥰🥰.

To book your session and have the chance to see your dog so relaxed they can't help but fall asleep, contact me for a session at your home or at the clinic I work from in Bletchingley. It's all done at your convenience 😊.

Hey everyone I hope this post find everyone healthy and happy.

Still quiet on the post front due to the current climate but I have also been working away on another project doing a diploma in canine behaviour and psychology. Yesterday a completed part of it and achieved my certificate in canine behaviour.

I am very happy to have achieved this and am looking forward to further completing my course and gaining even more knowledge.

When I am closer towards the end I will be giving updates on what I am up to and what this will mean for raring to run.

After a couple of strange years, it's been amazing to be back out there, and to get my hands on this gorgeous lady.

This is clover and I have known clover for a few years, she is the sweetest girl and loved having her massage to help her as she is getting towards her senior years.

She loves a good cuddle and always has a smile on her face.

She will be featuring on the page regularly as she has her regular session to keep her happy and comfortable.

Massage is so helpful as your dog edges towards their senior years, helping keep them as mobile as possible for as long as possible.

Can't wait to see her again soon 🐶💖💆‍♀️

For anyone who would like a bit more information about the effects of canine massage, this journal paper is a brilliant source of reliable accurate information.

It's always great to see studies showing how great canine massage is for dog and the difference it can make to them.

Well summer is finally here, and while us humans are loving it and thanking God it's finally here, spending as much time as possible outside doing stuff, this may not be the best thing for our canine counterparts.

Be aware of the temperature, when your dogs are out, what and how much they are doing and if your dog is more at risk of heat stroke.

There is lots of info out there on how and when the risk of heat stroke increases and the signs to look out for when it sets in.

Enjoy the sunshine everyone and time with your dogs but be careful and stay safe

Hey guys, due to the obvious restrictions, there has been no activity on the page for a long time simply as I can't be close enough to anyone.

🤞🤞 this will change very soon and I will be resuming seeing people and helping their pups feel and perform at their best again.

In the meantime we have been working hard on other things at r2r hq, and me and the halfahusky had our first scentwork session in a long time with Poodaroo Follow the nose: Team Scentwork .

Tilly absolutely smashed it, dealing with an environment she can be a bit nervous in and learning a more advanced way of searching like a proper police search dog. I am so proud of her and she always surprises me with what she is capable of.

Can't wait to continue this journey, and start a new one with Poodaroo Follow the nose: Team Mantrailing on Saturday on our first mantrailing intro session.

These sessions are amazing and I highly recommend Natasha for all your sniff sport sessions.

Safe to say she's tired and happy now.
