I am always vocal about important role of hormones in any creature’s life and how to avoid removing them.
Too many vets suggest spay/neuter too early, or for conditions that may not even benefit by the procedure.
What we do know is that removing hormones has been PROVEN to cause too many health issues ranging from joint health to cancer and behavioural problems.
So before making a decision, please have a read about consequences and alternatives. 💚
Traditional spay and neuter practices are being reconsidered—and for good reason. 🐾 Hormones are crucial to a dog’s growth, health, and quality of life. Experts like Dr. Peter Dobias and Dr. Linda Brent are shedding light on the long-term effects of removing a dog's hormone-producing go**ds. They're spreading the word about hormone-sparing sterilization options like vasectomy and hysterectomy.
