We have our own securely fenced private dog walking paddock to allow all dogs a safe place to run and play off lead. All walkers are CRB checked, First Aid trained and have basic qualifications in dog behaviour & dog body language. Our vans are fitted with seperate safe crates and we have drinking water available at the field for dogs. We also hose off muddy dogs after each walk. I can’t believe it but it’s officially been a whole year since I took over The Rutland Dog Walker (Oakham Branch)!

Just a quick thank you for everyone that has continued to support me and allowed me to walk all your lovely doggies!

We’ve had lots of new friends join our pack this year which has been wonderful 💜

I absolutely love this job and can’t wait to see what the next year brings us 🐾

Sadly this week we had to say goodbye to Roland, the smallest member of the Rutland dog walker family. After another episode of IVDD he passed away peacefully in the sunshine after enjoying an icecream. 8 years of snuggles, loud snoring and shouting at passers by. For such a tiny boy he’s left a very big hole in our hearts and the house feels very empty. We’ll miss you little sausage ❤️

A different post for this wet & miserable Monday, and one that we never like to write 💔

Unfortunately over the weekend the face of the business and Celia’s first ever client fell asleep for the last time. Captain was the reason Celia started ‘The Rutland Dog Walker’ so it is safe to say we wouldn’t be where we are today without him. The real OG of the business.

We are sending lots of love & hugs to Captains family and fur brother Tucker, who I am sure will be missing his big brother very much 💙

Sleep tight Captain, we hope heaven is full of tasty treats, endless hugs & even more holes to dig 🕊️
