🐕 Handstripping Seminar with Carola Copland (author of “Handstripping - What You Need To Know) 🐕

Do you struggle with handstripping or don’t feel overly confident? Salty Dog Groomers are running a seminar & workshop for those wishing to improve their skills & knowledge.

Carola is a terrier owner, fully qualified groomer and also an author, having worked with Groom Team England’s Current World Champion in Handstripping. Carola is passionate about giving handstripped dogs the hair and skin care they need, that’s why she is teaching the foundations. She is also the exclusive distributor of the hand dulled Groomer.dk handstripping tools.

About the day:
9:30 - 12:30 Seminar - cover the theory and basics of handstripping with demos.

1pm - 4pm (approx) Workshop - get your hands on a dog and put theory into practise. You can bring your own dog / have one provided for you (£15 surcharge).

Attendees will receive a copy of Carola’s book 📖 to take home.

Full day includes lunch 🥙

Who sadly crossed over rainbow bridge today at the ripe old age of 12. This photo was taken on one of her last visits to us. Thai came for her grooms very regularly as her mum and dad liked to keep her in tip top shape. She was much loved by all of the team here and I'm sure we've all had mouthfuls of her hair at one point or another!

It's really sad for us groomers when we lose dogs that we work with so regularly and have a strong relationship with. Not only for us but our hearts break for their families too 💔.

Rest in peace Thai Thai, we will miss you dearly 🌈💔🐾💫

Unfortunately Rolle Street is closed for four weeks so please allow extra time to arrive for your appointments as this is causing havoc with traffic!

We will do our utmost to accommodate those that our late due to the traffic, however please note that if you are more than 15 minutes late to your appointment, we may not be able to offer the full service.

Salty Dog Groomers are a professional dog grooming studio, located in central Barnstaple, North Devon, run by Mia Hallam.

​S.D.G are City & Guilds and OCN qualified, fully insured and the only groomers in North Devon to be a member of the Groomers Spotlight. From the moment your furry friend puts their paw through our door, they will be in pamper heaven. You can rest assured that your beloved pooch is safe and happy in our knowledgeable hands.

​All dogs are fully health checked prior to their grooming session and will come home feeling and looking great. We use only the best products on the market, that are infused with natural and organic ingredients, being kind to animal skin.

Our studio is located in Pilton (Barnstaple) with easy access to drop off and pick up your pet with no hassle. Our environment is clean, bright and calming, to ensure your dog feels safe and welcome.
