Our final night, the last of 17 with these three absolutely brilliant beasts. We have been totally amazed at how wonderful, loving and funny they all are. Ernie, Mabel and Betty, all minor celebrities in Twyning, have stolen our hearts. We will miss them massively.

Having a blast with these two noodles while their hoomans are on their hols. Mabel and Betty have been a right hoot already, and we’re only one day into our 17 day house sit in Twyning. This key ring represents the end of an era; 4 years of working with one of the best humans I know, and looking after two of the most epic dogs to bark out loud. Handed back my keys and said goodbye for now to Louisa Bailey .… best of luck in your new adventures. Thanks so much for the privilege and the ride - I will miss you very much indeed. We’re 4 days into our nine day house sit with Arthur in Upton upon Severn. Here he is, pootling about this morning on the ham as the sun was rising. Although he looks like a beast, he was startled out of his wits by the biggest, noisiest flock of migrating geese I have ever seen, a few moments after this picture was taken. We consoled each other with cooked turkey treats and a big cuddle. Poor lad 🐾🫣😍

Look at this enormous noodle. Arthur is keeping us company Saturday night while his humans are away. We’re having homemade chicken pie and veg. Well, he’s not. He’s having the biggest kibble I have ever seen 🥰

This is Ginger. We’re looking after him while his humans are on holiday. He was a bit aloof a few weeks ago when we met him for the first time, but now, we’re a bit in love 😻

This is Liela. She lives in Bristol and we looked after her a couple of weeks ago when her mum and dad went away. Her brother and sister; Raja and Olivia, were more keen to have their photos taken, but Liela did like meowing in my face a lot.

We love a butterfly! Particularly this one, because it inspired my logo when I started Just Ask in 2014.

It was while we lived briefly in Spain, and this particular speicies is the Spanish Festoon butterfly.

Anyway, I’m looking forward to getting involved in this ….

This week’s new dish is Orzo with lemon, broad beans and pancetta. A lovely light and summery dish cooked similar to a risotto; lots of garlic and a glug of white wine 😊

This week we’ve been sending out mostly salads! Our clients are hoping for cold food, and who can blame them? Greek salads, cold Moussaka (a personal favourite of one of our regulars), and blueberry flan. Yum.

We’re making and delivering lovely home cooked meals to homes in and around Upton, Naunton and Ryall, Corse Lawn, Eldersfield and Bromsberrow.

Look at these little treasures. This is Olivia and Raja, and we’re keeping them company this week. Leila is keeping herself to herself but we’ll see her at teatime no doubt.

Plenty of ice cubes in water bowls and cool fans while we’ve been here to try and keep temperatures down 🥵

It’s raining now, so we’re hoping for a bit of respite. Anyway, we’ve realised that cat sitting is as rewarding as looking after dogs this week. Such funny and entertaining little creatures 😍

We’re now officially buddies.

This week’s meals for our client in Bromsberrow.

We thought “let’s lighten things up a bit …as it’s summer” (yeah it really is) 😆

Lamb Souvlaki, Greek salad, tzatziki and a lovely puffy flat bread, roasted vegetables in a tomato and mascarpone sauce with pappardelle and herby garlic bread and a heartwarming Moussaka with a green salad and French dressing. Yum ❤️
