A helpful reminder from PDSA.
I know most of us already know this!

Remember, if it’s too hot for your hands or your bare feet, then it’s too hot for their paw pads! ⚠️

If you’re unsure whether it’s okay to let your pet go for a walk on pavements, a simple way to test the temperature is by holding your bare skin on the tarmac for five seconds ⏱️

If you find it painful, then your pet will find it painful to walk on!

To protect your pet, it’s best to avoid walks during the hottest part of the day, which is usually between 8am and 6pm. If you can't safely exercise your dog, missing a day won't hurt.

When this handsome boy (no not Chris!) came to us for the 1st time he hated the grooming process! He needed lifting into the bath, because there was no way he was getting in there of his own accord! and towel drying or else he'd try to eat the dryer (and anyone else in the way) but with just 3 visit so far to us he's made an amazing turn around! He came in Saturday, jumped in the bath, and let us blow dry him thoroughly before he de-shed. He's a superstar and it goes to show what great results you can achieve with gentle handling, encouragement & praise 🐾

Buffalo tails in stock, the dogs just love their natural healthy treats 🐾❤️🐾

Just half an hour before this video (and during his previous groom with us) this young man couldn't tolerate the sound of a small hair drier and would totally freak out. Today we were prepared! We worked hard to de-sensitise him from the moment he came in and in no time at all he'd figured out the drier couldn't hurt him. Obviously this is just a small hair drier, the noise in the back ground is actually coming from a larger stand drier that we just had on in the corner (part of the desensitisation process) but it's a massive improvement for this doggo and will make the grooming process much nicer for him going forward 🐾❤️🐾
