This little chap was discovered in a skip today!!!!

At only 8-10 weeks old (we estimate) underweight and with damage to his ears (we think he has had them chewed by rats) he needed to be in a foster home, rather than kennels.

Luckily one of the Friends of Flush crew was on hand to take this little pup in.

If you think you could ever offer a temporary foster home to a dog in need, please get in touch. There are some dogs where kennels just aren’t the place for them 😥

Can anyone help?

The washing machines and tumble dryers at the rescue are on their last legs as they are used multiple times each day to wash the dogs bedding.

Does anyone have an old machine they can donate? We can collect.

We could also do with a chest freezer for storing raw dog food.

What a busy morning at the kennels.
All the internal walls and the metal work has been painted, lots of rubbish has gone in the skip.
New just have the floors to paint now.

Thank you to the guys at Bill Dyson Skip Hire & Waste Management Ltd who have delivered a midi skip all ready for our kennel refurb session at the rescue this weekend.

We couldn’t get the extra space ready for the excess of abandoned dogs coming in without the kindness of businesses & volunteers.

Thank you all, you are making such a positive impact on the lives of the dogs.

Hi folks, we are painting a number of the recently refurbished kennels this Saturday morning at 10am.

We have about 8 volunteers so far to help with this but we are also in desperate need of a skip, or someone with a car & trailer who could do a couple of tip runs (we have a lot of rubbish from doing work on updating the kennels).

Can anyone help? We just don’t have the funds to pay for a skip.

Do you have a contact in the skip business or know anyone local to wakefield who may have a car & trailer and a few hours to spare? Drinks & cake will be provided!
