Not only has Sophia (now Mokey) found her forever home but shes gone to live with our good friends and their lovely family. Double good news! Couldn't have asked for a nicer home for her.
Only a short time with us but now off for a lifetime of adventures with your new family!

Introducing Sophia, our latest foster dog. Like the others shes a 5 month old Romanian rescue. Shes a sweetheart and although a little timid at first, shes got a fair amount of terrier in her, so shes tenacious, playful and not afraid of much! She gets on well with the cat which is helpful and even stole his bed!

A very successful, interesting and informative dog first aid course today provided by Yvonne from
I've taken 2 courses this year and even in a short amount of time information can change, so it is vital to keep up to date with the latest and most effective techniques for keeping your dog safe. You can never be over trained when it comes to first aid.
Whether you're a canine professional, own a dog yourself or just love dogs in general, I'd highly recommend taking a dog first aid course and be safe in the knowledge that you could potentially save a dogs life.

It's been a bit of a long road for Skittles but today we said goodbye to her as she starts her next chapter in her forever home. She's been a good dog and she will flourish on her big new adventure!

I found this strange plant growing in our garden. I think it's the rare Romaniandoggophilia, it seems to be growing pretty quickly!

A big Wilkos Walkies welcome to this big handsome chap, Peanut. He's a lovely playful fella who needs lots of exercise. Hopefully I can give him all the Walkies he needs!

I don't know if there are any practical applications to being able to catch treats, but Skittles would literally let anything you threw her way just hit her on the head!
So this is huge!
Next lesson, how to keep her still when I'm trying to dry her muddy paws! 😂

There is no other dog body language gesture more playful than the 'bow', so to capture two at once is like the ultimate happy sign!

Yesterday we met Tilly the labradoodle in the field and tried out the 'freedom lead'. Had a good run around and a play with very little barking.
She didn't even chase the children playing football!
Yesterday was a good day. So proud of her 😊

Yesterday we met .pawl in the garden...and today we had our first proper walk and run in the big field! And she is fast!
Running with a dog on a lead is not advisable! 🥵
She was also really good meeting all the other dogs along the way.

Maybe not 'fetch' and 'sit' in the most traditional way, but I'll take it! 👍
We did this for a good 10 minutes. She ran in to the door a couple of times and also didn't give herself enough stopping distance on a few occasions before hurtling down the stairs, but she seemed to enjoy herself!
Skittles has also met a few of our friends now and reacted in a really positive way to new people both times.
Still no proper walkies yet but I'm sure Skittles will be strolling the streets in no time😊

Last walk with these guys for a while due to current circumstances.
It was fun one though, it was dry, we had a run (hence the blurry action shots) and we met up with .pawl on her walk too!

Skittles Pupdate!
We have contact! Managed to get her lead off (and actually back on again a few times) a few tentative licks, all four paws outside in our garden for the first time, no growls today, a couple of little barks and even something that resembles play! She loves her squeaky Christmas cracker!
She is such a sweet soul and will make a lovely companion for someone when she comes out of her shell.

This is Skittles. She is our newest foster. She's very timid and quite happy just sitting in her bed. We haven't been able to even take her lead off her yet as she won't let us get too close.
She's recovering from her long journey from Romania and I think plenty of sausages and a bit of time will really help her acclimatise.

Today Zeus (now Charlie) left us to go to his forever home. He's only been with us for 2 weeks but he's nuzzled in to a little place in our hearts.
He's learnt how to walk on a lead, how to play with a ball, how to be around other dogs, how to sit patiently for dinner and give a paw (sometimes!)
Hopefully he's also learnt that new starts aren't always a bad thing.
Hope this is his last new start.

Apart from falling off his bed quite regularly, Zeus is making progress! Still no 'proper' walks, just garden strolls. He likes to sit outside and look up at the sky, hates the rain and is just about getting the hang of playing. Check out the other pics for how much he loves his new leads! 🙈

This is Zeus! He's a rescue from a shelter in Romania. He doesn't know how to walk on a lead and is very anxious about going outside which makes walks quite tricky at the moment. But we're getting him used to wearing his harness and lead around the house and in the garden and hopefully before long walking on a lead outside will be second nature!
