It was still quite warm out there today so here we are taking 5 minutes to cool down and pose for a photo before heading into the Thames for a paddle!

Took my cue from these guys this morning! We stayed in the shade, with lots of water, just long enough for everyone to do their business! Then back to an air conditioned van with cooling mats, bandanas and fresh water. I take your dog’s well-being very seriously and during this extreme heat will shorten or cancel walks to ensure each Manfredi Mutt is safe.

One of the most important things you can teach your dog is recall, all these guys were on the other side of the field and came back as soon as they heard the whistle and are waiting for their reward! (I also make them say ‘please’ (sit) before they receive one!)

Early walks before it got too hot to walk and absolutely zero tarmac paths! Shady paths and streams in which to paddle if needed!

When the temperatures rise the Manfredi’s Mutts know how to cool down… the size of the river /stream is proportionate to the size of the dogs on the walk 🐾

Favourite group walk of the day… 3 collies, 1 springer spaniel and 1 golden doodle = high energy walk (this was near the end of the walk as they were starting to tire… they didn’t stop the rest of the time)!

A real adventure walk for me, Trevor, Bodhi and Pepper today as I went out of my comfort zone, picked up the OS map and went down a path I’d always wondered about, but never been brave enough to take! Couple of wrong turns and seriously overgrown paths, but all the dogs had a fabulous time

Paddy’s a lovely friendly and very distinctive looking cat in Wallingford, please keep a look out for him… his family have moved home recently so he may be a little disoriented

UPDATE- he’s come home, but in bad shape after being hit by a car… hoping he pulls through x
