Thanks everyone for your interest, places now filled

Places available on our group training session on Monday 27th January at Arley, Northwich, CW9 6LZ.
Suitable for dogs and handlers who have started gundog retrieve training.
Costs £30, 2 hours 10am to 12 noon.
Please WhatsApp me to book a place or for more info.

Our group sessions will be starting again shortly, to those already training with Dogwerx I will be posting the dates on our Dogwerx Trainee page, message as usual if you want to book your places.
As well as our more experienced novices group on Thursdays, we will be holding an intermediate level group on Mondays, and in February a beginner gundog group, aimed at working gundogs and pet gundogs.

Handlers and dogs scored points for retrieves, recalls, stops, dummy throwing, steadiness, and heel work.
All dogs and owners had a great time with lots of laughs 😃😃😃

Handlers training with DogwerX get first opportunities for a place, as they are advertised on our group training page first.
The new year will see group sessions for dogs and handlers who need a little more work on their retrieves,
And hopefully a group for those starting out with gundog retrieves.

Yes a cocker really can walk nicely on a lead, 💪 If you are struggling with your lead work, visit a trainer, get some techniques, and practice, practice, practice it really does pay off. Great work and focus from Scout to his owner 😀

This is a video from Scouts handler, Working on cues at a distance, The retrieve dummy is behind him, so his handler gives him a cue to Go Back, (to turn around and go further away...) His handler adds in a couple of extra cues to give him confidence he is doing what she wants. Speedy pick up, and straight return with a nice delivery to hand. The other benefit of this exercise is that Scout is sitting a good distance and building duration and confidence to remain in the sit as his handler has walked away. Fabulous work for a young cocker, and a new to gundog training handler. 💪 😀

Don't forget it is Crufts this weekend, With Gundogs on Friday 8th March. We will mainly be in Hall 4, near ring 21 where Hungarian Wirehaired Vizsla are being judged.🐕😃 Say hello if you see me 🤪
