Fun in the sun today at the group session, a frosty start, with hard ground. Memory retrieves, recalls with distractions, 140 yard memory and blind. Seen retrieves and obstacle jumping, plus a sweeping up exercise for all dogs together,

My dogs out training today in the woods at Arley, Hunting, heel walking on and off lead together, sits, and a few short retrieves.
Antihistamines sorted out their nettled itchy paws, and now having a snooze before teatime

This young labrador is Millie, retrieves are not quite her thing just yet, she does carry stuff at home, but loses interest outdoors. So to keep her journey going we are training the send away, direction casts and seen retrieves with a bowl and a bit of food.
She is learning the cues, and expected responses and getting her rewards.
Once her retrieve desire kicks in, she will already understand memory retrieves, taking a direction, and marking seen retrieves.
Well done Millie and her handlers Katie and Janet. 😀👏👏👏

What a great day, Part 2 of an introduction to Gundog Training session for Rixton dog school, 3 Labradors, 1 Cocker Spaniel, 1 Staffie and 1 Corgi. All dogs and handlers were absolutely brilliant, Thanks to Debbie for assisting and throwing dummies, and to Phil for taking the photos. Its not only gundog breeds that can do gundog training 😁

young pupster Margot had her training session at Arley today, she loved being in the woods, the rough cover area, the open grass field, and a little paddle in the shallow stream,
First time retrieves in the woods, but she found them fast, enjoyed treat searches on the logs, and some puppy Parkour skills. Oh my she is gorgeous 😍

DogwerX Gundog Training were invited by Rixton dog school to host an Introduction to Gundog Training session at Arley Moss Canine Centre, it was a fabulous evening all the dogs showed natural talent with a Staffie and a Corgi holding their own against the labs and cocker... well done to the handlers hope your feeling super proud cos you smashed it. 💪😃👏
