Bunny Haven Hotel is a home-from-home boarding facility for your Rabbits and small animals. Established for over 6 years, with great reviews and a trusted professional and caring service. We look after rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, gerbils, tortoise, degu, chinchilla, some birds (depending on size and needs) and other small animals. All guests at Bunny Haven Hotel are cared for as our own and fe

el at home during their stay in spacious, insured, purpose built accommodation in a secure and fully insulted lodge within an enclosed garden, with access to a large outdoor runs, as well as indoor space to get daily exercise. Bunny Haven Hotel is the perfect holiday home for house rabbits who are used to plenty of company but are not used to confined space, and also for larger breeds, as well as also bonded pairs or groups of rabbits due to the spacious accommodation. Bunny Haven Hotel is nestled in a peaceful Croxley Green between Watford and Rickmansworth. The location is within easy access to surrounding counties of Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Middlesex and can be reached quickly via major motorways - M1, M25 and M40/A40. Bunny Haven Hotel is owned and run by Kirsty and Adam; devoted owners to 3 house rabbits. Feel good Sunday. Rescued rabbits update. 🎉🐰🐰
I am thrilled to feedback this news to any of you who followed the rescue of the 4 rabbits dumped in Harefield in a ditch from May 2024.
The two younger boy rabbits have bonded to one another and been rehabilitated, now beautifully glossy and fantastic pets, adopted and with new owners. This is just brilliant news as they had such a rough start. Their Mum has also been adopted.
This is the work that rescues do. These rabbits were not being taken in by the RSPCA (only two got a space) nor able to be supported by the vets with any medical treatment which they needed urgently, but Caroline at Eastbourne rabbit rescue did not hesitate to take all 4 rabbits in and prepare them for the life they deserve. X

We had the best week with Benny. I did give him back although I wanted to keep him! I would say that Benny is what people expect when they first get a bunny but it's not often that rabbits bond so well that they groom someone and it's a real sign of trust and being relaxed. Thank you Benny's family for booking in for your first time and look forward to next time x

On today's menu! Huge variety of veg and also a fantastic donation of apple branches with lush leaves ☘️🍏. Plenty for everyone. Remember veg is 50p per night . We want to make sure the pets get a delicious diet and keep eating and feel happy when they are away from home.

⚠️Summer reminder⚠️
The busiest few days of the year are here. Please remember what you need to bring, be on time please pretty please and remember it's1️⃣ one person per family to come in. We have some nervous pets who are not used to crowds.
If you need to come with children due to school holidays, let me know and we can do a handover at the gate.

I want to remind anyone with rabbits that Panacur is available from many pet stores and is a preventative, routine treatment for worms, parasites and e-cuniculi which can cause head tilt and other nervous system issues.
Lots of people don't know about this product but I stand fast that prevention is better than cure. I do this twice a year for my own rabbits, as a guide to the frequency that you may wish to use this wormer.

🌼Daisy🌼 is a little gem and just been the sweetest guest. She really is as cute and Disney-like as she looks! She isn't scared of wet paws, her owners informed me she quite enjoys all weathers! So she has been out despite some rain, whereas other bunny guests are a firm 'No thank you' wet paws.

If anyone no longer needs their pet space, please cancel with me to allow another family to place their pet in somewhere safe and reliable, some clients won't go on holiday unless I can look after their pet x

Gorgeous glossy black rabbits on holiday at Bunny Haven Hotel.
These little stunners are just as special as other beige and blondey buns, but unfortunately black coated bunnies are renowned for being less cute and stay in rescues for considerably longer, some never getting any adoption applications.
In photos 6&7 you can see Ash & Maple who are the brothers of my Misty Moon. They are still in the rescue in Richmond/ Twickenham waiting for a home.
Why oh why haven't they been adopted yet and get overlooked? Let's spread the word and find these gorgeous boys a home.

My littlest guest this week and one of my oldest repeat clients, Misty.
Her owner was 11 years old when I first met her, now she is an adult about to start University, making Misty the rabbit, 8 years old. It's lovely to see my pet guests and their families year on year 🎉❤️🐰

Welcome 🥚Eggbert🥚aptly named by Pets at Home staff, after he was dumped at the shop desk over Easter. Eggles as his human guardian names him, was found to have a broken leg which healed but is a little out of alignment. They would only re-home to the very best home with a very experienced owner, and wow has he landed on his feet 😁
He has been bonded to the big cuddle monster Luna, and also lives with Thor.
We are so happy for them all and see that this bunny is very fortunate and lives pain free and is very active despite his bumpy start to life.

Reminder that the booking form and website does explain that we run a 'one person per family' policy.

As summer sets in and we have multiple appointments per day, we need to keep foot flow and disturbance to a minimum. Pets will thump and feel uneasy with multiple people coming in and out of the bunny hotel.

They all know me, but they don't know you.

This policy is in place to ensure that your pet has a peaceful stay, and me being strict is as much for your pet, as everyone else's. This is what I would need and want for my own pets when they are on holiday. Many boarders and kennels do check-in at a reception desk only for this reason but I want clients to feel assured and exceptionally confident and comfortable when leaving their pets, so I allow check-in within the hotel itself.

Please remember this is also my home, not a public place, so is not a place for visiting with the whole family, it's just for dropping off and settling in your pet before your holiday.

If you can't come alone, we can do the handovers at the gate. Just message ahead so I know.

💓Happy Sunday every bun💓.
Rabbits are social animals and most like to have a companion or a group to live with. I know the odd few who do better as singletons or who have fallen out with their companion, but the intention for new owners should be to have a pair, which is why reputable rescue centres offer bonding for free.
Companionship makes them feel more secure and replicates their natural instincts to groom, take comfort from another and also watch out for one another. In the wild, there would be many in around their warren to look out and stay alert.

🎈Happy 8th Birthday to BUNNY HAVEN HOTEL🎈
THANK YOU every one of you who have entrusted your pets in our care over these years. I never knew how successful the business would become, how much experience I would gain, I'm always learning, and have become fully self-employed, taking care of many precious animals, which to me is a dream.
In early June 2016 the website and final building stages of our first bunny hotel (then in Watford, now Croxley Green) was launched and by the end of month we had our first guest, 👑Prince Harry🐰 an agouti rabbit.
Soon after came famous Mr Raj🇮🇳, and then Nala who is still on our books and due for her holiday this year aged 11!

Nice to be featured in the local news, MyLocalNewsCroxley along with photos of the 'rabbit rescuing team' who got together in rain and awful conditions, including my selfless and kind clients Lucy & Sharmi. All four rabbits were caught after being dumped in Harefield and are being looked after at Eastbourne rabbit & guinea pig rescue and will be ready for adoption soon.

I'm very naughy. I always say I want to (and should) finish work by 6pm, ie all pets in bed for their dinner and time for me to down tools, but it never goes that way. On a lovely warm bright eve we can keep the pets out for a little longer to play, it's lovely, and take photos of them on portrait mode!
