Bloopers Reel!!
We know that not every search will go perfectly so let’s celebrate the silly moments too! If your dog has a funny “oops” moment during the challenge, feel free to share it on our Bloopers Post. We’d love to see those moments that make us all smile and remind us why we love our dogs so much! 🐾
Have Fun!
This competition is all about spreading holiday cheer and having fun with your dogs. Please don’t take it too seriously it’s all for laughs, community spirit, and a little festive magic.

Here's a visual of what we call a 'check step' or
'knock! It's when the dog encounters the odour
'pool,' 'plume,' or 'funnel' and makes a sudden change in direction or movement, known as a
'change of behavior' (COB). This is the first sign that your dog is closing in on the odour source.#dogtraining #dogtrainingtips
It's important to teach a dog to search. While odour recognition is a significant component, searching and indicating can be taught separately. This is why we always begin by fostering the dog’s drive to search for any source, whether it's a toy or food. Building this search drive and capability is essential. This reel shows the first search and the third just look at the drive build! #ScentDetection #DogLovers
For those who didn’t know, Wesley is here with Doghampton for a few days teaching scent detection! 🐕🦺 A number of our instructors have joined us for these workshops, and Wesley’s expertise has sparked some really interesting conversations about odour placements and the finer details of detection work. Lots of exciting discussions and odours themselves and possibilities regarding future levels in our Detection component – can’t wait to see where this takes us! 🙌 #ScentDetection #DogTraining #LearningFromTheBest
