This is ✨️HANDSTRIPPING ✨️. As you can see Merry is chilled as a cucumber 😎 and enjoys her stripping sessions 🐕 🐾What is handstripping!? Handstripping is the removal of dead topcoat - by hand rather than clipping. It leaves the remaining undercoat shiny, strong and healthy. 🐾Can all dogs be handstripped? No. It tends to only be wire haired breeds (such as Border Terriers, Irish Terriers, Patterdales etc) and also the silky coat of the spaniel. There is also an exception to some mixed coat breeds too. There are some reasons in which a coat may not be suitable to strip; whether they have been spayed/neutered, genetics, age and if they have been clipped previously. 🐾Why should I choose handstripping over clipping? Handstripping keeps the coat natural looking and keeps the regular growth of the coat correct. It will keep the coat strong, with the natural waterproofing properties it holds in place. It will keep the coat colour rich whilst clipping often dilutes the original colour of the coat. If you have any questions at all about handstripping - just ask! 🐶

WOODY! 😍 This beautiful cockerpoo came for a much needed full groom.
