Fidget Midget An unwanted little staffy cross, found in a council pound when she was about 8 months old. A true en Mum found me in my kennel with my nose on the wall.

Set up in 2013, this little poundie tries her best to break the stigma of a rescue dog- people believe that you need to have a puppy to begin training- but this is simply not true. Fidget was about 8 months old when we found her in the pound. " I was picked up as a stray, and fell into the 7 day catagory- if I wasn't claimed/ rehomed, I was in danger of being PTS- also, being black AND a staffie c

ross, I wasn't the most popular resident amongst potential owners. I looked really sad and was unhappy and lonely. Mum went to pick up her other dog- Diefenbaker, (deef-un-baker) and the rest as they say is history! PLEASE consider a rescue for your next best friend- it takes time and patience, but you get payment back tenfold! EVERY dog can shine- they just need to be given the chance! Even if you have a family, lots of rescues work hard to check us dogs in lots of circumstances- cats, other dogs, children etc etc. PLEASE don't discard us just because our previous owner has- we all can move on with your help! Don't forget the golden oldies too!"

Sunday boops!!!! I've enjoyed some good walks this weekend! I may be cracking on in age, but getting out and about helps keep me strong and helps to stop the arthritis slowing me down! Of course, the pain meds, physio and hydrotherapy all help with keeping me fit, and driving moogie crackers!...now, wheres my dinner?

I had an accident on my bed the other day......I wanted to lay on Ts bed, but he wouldn't move....so i sat on him. I only laid there a couple of mins: the pic to the right is how I usually prefer to sit with my big brother ...keep my distance, and pretend I don't know him!

Be careful out there!! This was me on sunday after I stepped on a wasp and it stung my paw :( I couldn't walk on my back leg, and mum didn't know what happened! (She had nipped to the loo!!) She bundled us in the car and came straight home, and thats when the hives started. I had some allergy meds and slept loads; my paw was sore for a couple of days, but fighting fit now!! I have my physio and hydro today and vet check tomorrow...moogies calender is full bol!

I came back home yesterday! I had a full scale and polish, and 2 teeth were found to be loose, so they were removed: despite my teeth being worn, (I LOVE to chew!) They are actually quite good, so happy days! 1st pic was yesterday, 2nd this afternoon. Moogie was really worried about me, and sat up with me last night to make sure I was ok. I've followed her round all day today too :) I've eaten my bodyweight in chicken, and im only allowed wet food for a few days while my jaw heals . Thankyou all so much for your well wishes...I've been a little superstar! :)

I am going in the vets for an operation weds: I LOVE to chew, but it seems I have cracked a tooth and exposed the nerve!! Vets were shocked im still eating, but mum did say the day I stop that, its an emergency!! Wish me luck: mums worried as I am 14, but vets did say im the healthiest dog my age they have seen....apart from my tooth! Keep everything crossed: mums a bit worried, and has booked time off work to cuddle me :)

Went to a fun dog show today for a local rescue: no wins, but T made a load of new friends, including a muzzled xl bully :) he got tons of fuss and attention too.
Midge however is a little tyrant who has no filter! She thought a treat stall was a pick n mix, she scrounged someone's pork pie, nicked a kids feather as she thought it was a chew stick, later, I looked down and caught her chomping down on a lead slip thinking it was a treat....to top it off, she almost shoved her face in someone's bag which contained a brownie!!! Everyone thought it was hilarious the little sod...I did nothing but apologise explaining she's old, deaf and at that stage of her life where everything is 'what the hell!' Bloomin good job I love the little get! Here she is sleeping off the best. Day. EvER!!
Yep: fat and happy!! BOL!

I was on holiday last week! We went to Somerset as dad had a competition at Dunster! We went to Minehead, shared donuts, walked exmoor, saw the ponies, made tons of new friends....we stayed on a working farm, and met alpaca, sheep, cows and chickens! I had an absolute blast! :)

Moogie says I'm nearly 14 years old!!! I wasnt too well the other day, (ate something that didn't agree with me) but, much better now!!! I may be losing my hearing a little now, but I still love my training!!! Im on daily pain meds for my arthritis, i have physio and hydrotherapy! (Mum says i get out more than she does!! ;)) Us older dogs do need a little extra help, but we still have the same heart and love you as much as we did when we came to live with you....it can be hard sometimes, but it is rewarding! If you are lucky enough to be loved by an old dog, give them a big hug, and treasure it! it is a rare and precious thing!
