If you've ever been Mantrailing with us, you'll most probably have met Helen and her Papillon scent hounds. Helen is branching out after being a dog groomer for years, and is offering her new dog walking service for small and medium-sized dogs. I couldn't recommend her highly enough, and she's one of a handful of people that I'd trust with my own dogs.

We were promised a monsoon, but got lovely sunshine instead. The beautiful Elsie took to the stage and ambled around in the sunshine, learning to see other dogs as a cue for good things, not something to be worried about. I love untangling the enigma of Rommies, and we've made huge progress today.

We work with a lot of reactive dogs, but don't really do classes for reactive dogs. Apart from when we do! Eddie and Max have built up to this stage, and they're now able to focus on their humans with other dogs nearby. They were wonderful, and we really couldn't have wished for a better class. Of the classes we don't really do, but will do more of!

Patterdale-cross palaver has come to Weston-super-Mare! Young Cookie is hot on the heels of Good Boy A.J, and charging through her IMDT Partnership Grades. Level 2 is in the bag, and there'll be plenty more to follow. Awesome work, Cookie!

Has your dog got bored over the summer holidays? Maybe they've started sitting on tables, modelling kettles, just to pass the time? If only there was a magnificent monthly meet, where you and your dog could charge around together and get a splendid mental and physical workout. Mantrailing will be resuming shortly, and you can release your dog's inner sniffer hound!

After a rather splendid holiday, (aside from the car brakes deciding to stop working whilst towing the caravan on the M5), we'll be back to normal very soon. I'll get up to date with emails and messages when I'm back in the office tomorrow, and I'm sorry if you've been waiting for me to get back to you.

The Cheeky Chihuahua will be resuming Mantrailing and Scentwork sessions in September, with full details to follow. We also offer training and behaviour consultations for each stage of your furry friend's life. Our ethos is always to enhance the bond between you and your dog, and that's why we'll always keep our behaviourist and training qualifications ahead of the pack. # #

Predatory Motor Patterns, and how the different parts have been prioritised, are at the core of what our dogs find to be most rewarding. The Yorkshire Terrier side of Honey needs to scent, chase, and catch. And nothing will change that. # # #

The most wonderful Piper has whizzed through her IMDT Partnership Grade level 1, and went on to perfectly model our official Presentation Tree Stump, in Ashcombe Park. In her acceptance speech, Piper thanked her friends and family. And then told me to sod off and speak to her agent! How rude! # #

Here's Marvellous Max the Malinois. He's been rescued from abroad after being found wandering the streets with a damaged foot. We've no idea what he's been through, but he could barely look at other dogs without pulling and barking. Despite this, we've spent our most recent session walking past dogs on the Prom and through Clarence Park. He's still a little bit on edge, but we're many steps closer to our end goal of him attending Teenage Tearaways

If your dog is a hunter, they need to do hunting stuff. To go out of your way to replicate what they need to be fulfilled is the greatest compliment that you can pay to your dog. And it's how you build a perfect relationship
