Summer is for hanging out with your dog in the garden, but did you know there's a few common garden products which can be harmful to your canine companions? These include things like slug pellets, weedkillers and rat poison.

✅ Use pet-safe products where possible, and make sure you check the label

As part of Rabbit Awareness Week, we're sharing some top tips for a stress-free vet visit!

Vets trips can be stressful, but they're important for things like checkups, vaccinations and any concerns, and with these tips hopefully it can be as stress-free as possible.

🐰 Ensure you have a secure carrier the right size for your rabbit
🐰 Get your rabbits used to the carrier, by introducing it into their environment before their vet trip
🐰 Use a towel or blanket in the carrier, and include a toy and some snacks
🐰 If your rabbit is used to having a friend it's a good idea to transport them together to provide company and reassurance
🐰 Cover the top of their carrier while at the vet to muffle the noise of other pets, and don't put them on the floor where dogs could sniff them

How do you know when to make the switch from kitten to adult cat food? 🐈🐈?

We usually recommend that once a kitten is 12 months old, it's time to start transitioning them over to adult cat food.

But make sure you make the switch over a 7 day period to avoid any digestive upset.

Start on day 1 by replacing about a sixth of the current kitten food with new adult food. Increase this gradually over the next 5 days so that by day 7 the entire portion of kitten food has now been replaced with adult food.
