So much love for this ball of energy 💕 Nala had the best time being back in the puddles. Nala gets a lot of ear infections and so she was the bestest girl letting me clean and dry her ears thoroughly afterwards too 🐶 Nala’s pawrent first left a review when she was only little. So here’s a current take on how they feel about Step Pets ❤️. “I love Nala being part of the step pet family as you are the most amazing person inside and out and the only person outside of our blood family that she trusts ❤️. You always go above and beyond in everything u do for Nala and I know she absolutely adores u. One year later 🥹
These girls deserve so much love and they landed in the perfect home to get it. The @pmakinson family have worked tirelessly to ensure these girls where given every opportunity to succeed. My God have they succeeded 😍
Love, patience, perseverance and understanding is the core to achieving your goals through force free training.
Force free training isn’t distractions and shoving treats in your dogs face as much as some viral trainers like to try and convince you it is. We understand learning theory and all of it’s quadrants- we choose not to use them all because we don’t think they all serve the dog.
It is a long process of changing emotions- not just behaviours. It is a systematic desensitisation not flooding. It is classical and operant conditioning through positive reinforcement not positive punishment. It’s not just a quick fix put a plaster over a leak approach.
I am so thankful that I had the opportunity to work with this family and i’m even more thankful that they allow me to be a part of these girls lives ❤️❤️❤️

Lewi had a nice free run around the woodland walk 🌳He kept picking up sticks which he hasn’t done since he was little. There’s a very busy road behind the trees that he could see but he didn’t give it much attention so he was obviously loving his adventuring. 🥰
We played a lot of hide and seek and he did very well. The place is about 3acres so I was surprised that he would find me every time- even when it took him a few minutes 🫠
Huge thanks to @pawfitvetphysio @fran_germain for helping lewi’s mobility and keeping him moving well enough do these things. Lewi receives weekly physiotherapy, massage and laser treatment- it was also fran who advised we asked out vet about librella- any later and we’d have been stuck on a long waiting list. We’ve learnt so much about which exercises to restrict and which to increase, and also the benefits of the right shaped harness (that being @perfectfitharness for sure)
With his pain being so reduced- his mental health and behaviour has improved dramatically. He was a pleasure to watch ❤️😍
This will have to become a regular thing.
