British Carriagedriving are thrilled to announce the Travelling Squad for the FEI Driving World Championships for Single Horses 2024.
The Championships will take place between 19-22 September 2024 at Le Pin au Haras, France.
The Travelling Squad will comprise of the following Drivers and Horses:

Harriet Haz Bradford with Chippendales Rock
Carol Lumsden with Craigielaw Brassie Flyer
Ian Bertram with Gerbrandy
Mike Hodgson Carriage Driver with Jerom Jane
Chris Ainscough Carriage Driver with Anton
Tara Wilkinson of Team Wilkinson Carriage Driving with Kadans/Cruze

The Squad Chef d’Equipe, Jane Isaac, would like to thank all of the Athletes who have worked exceptionally hard as part of the Selection Process and although there are some members of the Squad who have not been chosen for these Championships, the Support Team very much look forward to working with you again towards the next World Championships in 2026.

😊 What makes Maggies different from any other dog shop? This 👇 does!

At Maggie’s we pride ourselves on our knowledge….because so often you rely on it to give you support.

But we never rest easy when there’s an area we want to know more on….even though we know a great deal, there’s always room to learn more. The area that we wanted to know more about was making sure we were fitting the correct harnesses…

So we enlisted specialists, Vikki and Eve to run a course for the whole team on areas we see everyday but we wanted to understand more…Vikki owns and is a
Qualified Canine Hydrotherapist as well as being the owner/director of the SKcanine rehabilitation centre in hazel grove.
Eve holds a masters in Veterinary Physiotherapy and works along Vicki at the rehabilitation center

So armed with specialists in the areas we wanted to learn more on, we spent a half day increasing our knowledge in areas such as:

🟢 Gait Analysis

🟢 Stance Analysis

🟢 Anatomy & breed differences

🟢 Studies on harnesses

🟢 Looking at different harnesses and how they fit

🟢 Movement of dogs with/without harnesses

The course was exceptional and we learned so much (even me!) and with this knowledge we know we will be able to enhance the service we already give you at the store.

The team at Maggie’s will now be able to reassure you, our delightful customers, that when we suggest a harness for your puppy, adolescent, or mature dog, that the suggestion we offer will be based on what we have observed about your dog. We won’t just fit a harness, we will make sure the fit and style suit the age, weight, breed and stance/gait of your dog.

Leaving you with a harness that will fit perfectly and cause no issues for your dog.

One of us is always available to assess your existing harness in the hope of giving you peace of mind that it’s correct and if not we are able to suggest alternatives.

Anton’s monthly session today. Thanks Chris for having me look after this special boy 🤩

Today Anton had his monthly treatment from Eve Cranston Veterinary Physiotherapy. As usual he had a thorough examination including walking and trotting up in hand, turning in tight circles and reining back, lunging on each rein in walk, trot and canter. He was then palpated all over to find any sore or tight muscles. He’s working very hard at the moment so a few tight muscles are to be expected but nothing major. He then had some massage, fascial release, ultrasound therapy and laser therapy as well as some stretches. All part of his maintenance program to keep him feeling and performing his best. Thanks Eve
