Joni joined me this morning to help Dougie with his social skills.
When dogs are reactive on the lead it often follows that owners lose their confidence in allowing play with other dogs. This can actually make reactivity worse, especially if it is due to frustration. Their social skills may suffer as a result.
Whilst there are many things we can do to help our reactive dogs, we are no match for the calm and assertive bitch when it comes to teaching manners.

⚠️DISCLAIMER Reactive dogs should be properly assessed by an accredited behaviourist/trainer before deciding if gentle socialisation is right for them. Please don’t go letting your reactive dogs run off w***y nilly to other dogs!

Thought it was a good idea to do this adventure walk today. Oh dear… possibly the muddiest yet. 🤦🏼‍♀️ Luna & Boris enjoyed it that’s all that matters 🐾🐾 Back home for a shower I think. 🤣

The lovely Molly sadly passed away last week. She was the loveliest little Westie I ever met. Friendly and as good as gold my little shadow. We will miss her so much my regulars have lost a lovely fury friend. 🤍🤍 Fly high in paradise sweet girl 🐾

Snuffle mats are perfect for all dogs of any age. A fun activity for physical and mental stimulation. They help to slow down fast eaters, encourage them to use their sense of smell, reduce anxiety and burn energy. 🐾

Another fun and very muddy Thursday on the field with Boris, Jessie and Leia. 🐾 All bathed and clean 🐾 Good Dogs 👌🏻
