Tory do as I say not as I do as always!
.
Read to the bottom for your call to action!
.
❗️The Secretary of State for DEFRA @theresecoffey has been pushing this ban through, all whilst receiving, buying and using an Ecollar on her own dog!
.
❗️Ecollar technology containment fences to keep your children’s sandpit or flower beds un damaged are LEGAL, however, to use one to prevent and train dogs reliable recall and protect wildlife and livestock would be ILLEGAL!
.
❗️Tories do not care about their rural constituents that live in and amongst wildlife, they couldn’t care less about the nearly 3000 reported deaths of sheep by dogs in the UK - the ecollar is the only PROVEN method of livestock aversion! A lead is not enough!
.
❗️Not one single case of animal abuse has been brought from using an Ecollar and the studies and consultation was flawed, inaccurate and bias. The conclusions didn’t relate to the evidence brought or the data in the consultation.

Tory HYPOCRISY yet more proof of our corrupt government!

❗️Tory hypocrisy caring so much about animal welfare yet exempt military k9’s from these apparent “cruel” devices.
❗️don’t be fooled they don’t care about animals, lifting a ban on animal testing FOR COSMETICS but no one heard about that for a good while did they.
.
I have no faith @rishisunakmp and @10downingstreet this @conservatives government doesn’t care about animal welfare enough to study the usage, benefits and data correctly enough to base these laws on TRUTH! Tory Hypocrisy at its finest!
.
I do not want to be criminalised for training my dog appropriately with an ecollar. I will NEVER vote tory!

Think it's safe to say Evie made so much progress today!
She's absolutely adorable and at 8 months, now is the time to start adding in some more structure as her owner had been struggling with some over excitability around dogs and people. She's a super sweet natured girl, adding in foundations to work on her owner now has a clear direction and training plan to put in to place. She has a clear vision of how she'd like to enjoy her time out and about with Evie, allowing her to be social but learning there's a time and a place for certain behaviours.

If there's one thing above all others you should master its loose lead walking..... why?
If your dog is way out in front not only are you totally irrelevant but they are dealing with the world.... reactivity issues, recall issues, fear based issues..... you'd be surprised how much loose lead walking mends the relationship between you and your dog. Check out the eye contact from Barry...hes looking to me for direction! I'm making the decisions, I'm leading the walk. Dogs thrive off stable, fair leadership. The more decisions you make for your dog the less stupid ones they make. To Dogs leadership is love, with loving leadership comes freedom ❤️
Nala's first walk together ❤️ nala is a typical lab, friendly, energetic, bright and so loving! Her owners came to me after moving in to the area looking for a new walker. She's a super social girl who's used to group walks before with lots of dogs. However she's a really strong puller on the lead, so we got to work teaching her some lead manners and supplying her with a much more structured walk. Engaging her brain not just endlessly running around. We practiced heel work, played fetch, practiced her obedience and did some scent work. Once nala has learned her lead manners we will be adding her to some group walks 🥰
Structured walks for bertie and arlo. Can you believe that both dogs have had trainers in regarding behaviour issues previously? Always start with obedience when dogs meet. We did some calm sit stays, heel work, impulse drills and more... setting the tone for free time so no one way hyped up. Both lads did amazing 👏
Welcome Rupert 🤗 what a guy, focused, driven and very switched on! A typical collie who thrives off direction. Yesterday was about testing his obedience with myself and building a structured bond. By giving Rupert obedience drills on and off lead he has the leadership he needs to safely be off lead in all areas. Do you have a driven dog like Rupert who could benefit from some extra mental stimulation? Get in touch 🐾💥
Alfies walk & train..... yep we even train in the rain 🌧🌧🌧
How long do I need to train my dog for? 🤔
Training is a way of life, dogs always need structure and boundaries to flourish. High energy breeds especially, why? Nothing compares to off lead freedom for a dog genetically bred to run for hours. Love your dog with leadership ❤️
Rules of play..... yes even play time has rules. Why? Puppies need to be taught everything..... before throwing the ball would involve Alfie getting it and the game was me chasing him around to try get it....fun right? Nope. But adding a lead I can guide Alfie what the rules of the game are and pair it with verbal cues and praise. As you can see a few times of directing him back to me patiently teaching him how to leave the ball and also fairly communicating with him in a way he understands I'm not to be chewed and nipped (normal puppy behaviour) by the end of play he was Independently coming directly to me as I create the fun! He's also learning eye contact and being calm gets rewarded. Everything positive comes through me. All this is paired up with verbal cues transfers to every day life and setting the foundations for a balanced well behaved boy, yes he's a small cute puppy now but by 6-9 months Alfie will be adult size and have more strength and hit adolescents. Training starts from day 1 always.
