It’s a hay kind of day today 🥶 The girls are all content at their hay piles… Clara, Lettie, Lily, Star, Cora, Milly, Connie and Dolly.
New route = happy Charlie! We had a lovely ride around one of my old favourite running routes, through little hamlets and across the common.
Charlie had a pep in his step the whole way, he loved nosing at all the new sights… this is what it’s all about ☺️

Both boys had baths today, Arnies being his first ever bath!
They were really well behaved, just starting to get fidgety at the end. I’ll get some no rinse shampoo for next time to speed up the process for them!

Sometimes Arnie feels a bit undecided, but that’s ok! He definitely wants to be friends, but there’s still something inside him that’s says it might not be safe. So occasionally, he will have a little run off, but he always comes back ☺️ He’s going to learn that I’m nice and fun to be around in his own time! I’ll be here when you’re ready Arnie!
THE BOYS ARE BACK IN TOWN! 🙌
We managed to pluck Charlie from the herd last week and introduced him to Arnie by stabling them beside each other for a couple days. It went better than I could ever have imagined, Arnie is smitten 🥰 Charlie is tolerant 😂
Today we took the new trailer out for its first spin, picked them up and brought them home, so glad to have Charlie back and the addition of little Arnie is even better ☺️
Arnie is wearing a field-safe head collar as he’s still not 100% with being caught, and the reflectiveness is always a bonus should he manage to escape 😂
NOW… Charlie SERIOUSLY needs a makeover, so watch this space… 🫧🧽🧹

Dozy Dolly 😴 We brought all the young girls in to the smaller paddock at the top of the field today for a little brush and some handling. All the girls came to call except Dolly who was laid flat out, fast asleep 😂 When she woke up and realised everyone had gone she got quite the shock, but her friends called for her and she soon came zooming over!
