It was Maddie’s first training walk today 😊 If you remember, Maddie’s Mum contacted me to help as Maddie had pulled her over causing injury. I showed Maddie’s Mum how to teach Maddie to walk on a loose lead, and the video I uploaded last time showed her doing beautifully 😊 Although Maddie walks perfectly for her Mum, she can struggle to maintain focus with other people, so this is where I come in!! As you can see from the vid, Maddie did an amazing job! How did I get to this? What I didn’t do was use a slip lead, choke chain, head collar, e-collar, or indeed anything aversive including positive punishment, reinforcement or negative reinforcement. I used good old fashioned positive reinforcement, and anyone who tells you that it doesn’t work, and you need to start using aversives isn’t good enough at their job! I gave Maddie plenty of breaks in between sessions of work and this is the result! Excellent work Maddie 😊🩷
I always go on about using your environment on walks for enrichment and variety. Here is Robyn doing some cross country over some low fences 😊🩷

It’s rubbish weather outside and so it’s indoor play for Frankie 😊 She is doing search work and lots of it!! Teaching Frankie to locate specific scents is a great use of her Olfactory System and the act of sniffing gives her a great enrichment activity that will tire her out 😊#rescuepocketbully #praisenotpain #forcefreedogtraining #behaviourmodification #frankiefrizzell #dogtraining
An example of using the environment to add some fun to the session 😊🩷
On our 2nd session, Daisy and I bumped into Ginny and Sophie. The girls had a lovely wander together with a bit of time for some tomfoolery 😃🩷
