This really made me chuckle 🤪
Please re-home him….
(Trigger warning - Please don't read this and moan in the comments that my post was too long or use TL;DR which for those who don't know means Too Long; Didn't Read. That will trigger me.)
Anyhoo, as I was saying….
Please re-home him….
He is a male cross breed, of indeterminate age (see pic)
I've tried to correct his behaviours and I've seen some improvement, but unfortunately it's just not enough. It's just too hard and I've reached the end.
I need to find a new ‘forever home’ for him.
His bad points…
—--------------------
He doesn't obey me
He's got rubbish recall
He requires constant supervision
He's constantly trying to lick himself
He pesters for attention and cuddles
He can be reactive
He gets over excited when an Amazon delivery arrives
He begs and whines a lot
He's always seeking praise and attention
On the plus side…
-----------------------
He is attentive and easy to please
He doesn't have fleas
He's part vaccinated
He has most of his own teeth
He doesn't shed excessively (less each year!)
He eats anything
He loves it when you tickle his tummy
He'll do anything for a reward
He makes a good family pet
Loves playing with his toy sausage and balls
So why now?
---------------
He's my whole world but he's just so annoying.
It's not that I'm harsh and unfeeling or that I haven't tried.
It's just time.
It's better for me to find him a new home before we are both too old.
Maybe a better woman than me will have more luck.
Perhaps that woman is you.
So if you think you can re-home my HUSBAND, be my guest.
Thanks for reading!!

UPDATE: I've decided to give him another chance. Thanks to the power of Facebook and all your lovely comments I've realised what a lucky, lucky, woman I really am.
Based on many 5* Facebook and Google recommendations and your suggestions and feedback I decided to check him, me and the dog into this amazing place….
“The Katherine Foster VERY Dog Friendly Respite Facility for ‘Useless Men’ and ‘Women in Need of a Break’ near St Asaph and Snowdonia in North Wales”
We’ve just returned from our first course of treatment.
I can't recommend it highly enough.
We were only there for a midweek break due to work commitments, but it's made such a difference.
I feel like a teenager again!
HE feels like a teenager again!
He really is a new man! I hadn't realised quite how amazingly lucky I was.
He's actually the best.
Such a catch.
Whatever was I thinking!
Katherine, the amazingly kind, lovely, patient and extremely good looking woman who runs the facility, has advised us that yearly, or perhaps even more frequent, visits are advised if we are to maintain our current levels of happiness.
So if you too are at your wits end, about to give up the fight and are at the end of you tether…
Heed my words….
Book a break here and you'll be right.
Let's face it. We women always are!
Apparently they're pretty full until October, but do still have availability.
Katherine's even bought a new diary ready to take bookings for 2026 and it's already filling up fast!
Details are as follows…..
🐾 It's really called The Shepherds Hideaway (to keep it secret)
🐾 It's near St Asaph in North Wales.
🐾 has 5 self contained very dog friendly gorgeous shepherds huts each in their own large dog secure garden/paddock with parking right next to the hut.
🐾 Their Suffolk hut doesn't share a fence line with another hut and is most suitable for reactive doggies. Their Gypsy hut only shares a short fence line with the Clydes and we have screened off that between the two huts to help reactive pooches relax.
🐾 each hut sleeps 2 humans plus doggies
🐾 nightly prices from about £47 low season (based on 7 night booking in Jan & Feb) and about £65 a night peak season (based on 7 night booking in July & August)
🐾 dogs go free
🐾 all dogs welcome
🐾 no limit on number of dogs (but more than 3 ask us about which hut best for you, over 20 and you need some help, like serious help!)
🐾 dog agility park which is exclusively bookable by one hut/group at a time and is really popular with our guests. It's free for you to use whilst you're here, including the day of your departure!
🐾 dog wash area (it's a hosepipe lol!)
🐾 walks from doorstep of your hut (by placing one foot in front of the other, over and over again)
🐾 secure 4ft (ish) high fencing and enclosed gardens/paddock for even for tiny dogs (apart from the Gypsy hut which is secure stock net fencing but not secure for tiny dogs like a Chihuahua. Border Terrier and upwards in size are fine though)
🐾 dogs allowed on furniture and bed, but not if they jump on your head! Please bring some blankets/throws in case of Welsh weather.
🐾 own parking right next to your hut
🐾 Outdoor wood burning stoves and BBQs, charcoal available in our little gift shop
🐾 firewood and kindling provided
🐾 all huts have either their own wet room or bathroom and kitchen with hob and oven cooker, fridge, toaster, kettle etc
🐾 WiFi, but not super fast as in rural Wales
🐾 quiet, secluded site with fantastic views of the Clwydian range
🐾 30 mins from Snowdonia
🐾 North Wales coast within minutes
🐾 around an hour from Manchester and Liverpool
🐾pubs and other dog friendly places nearby
🐾 fishing, cycling, walking, golfing and many other outdoor and indoor activities nearby.
