TERMS & CONDITIONS
When booking with us at JJ’s you are automatically accepting our terms and conditions; please read carefully. All Rabbits must be vaccinated against;
* Myxomatosis
* Haemorrhagic Disease VHD (Strain 1)
* Haemorrhagic Disease VHD2 (Strain 2)
We at JJ’s will not board any un-vaccinated rabbits. They must be vaccinated 3 WEEKS before boarding with us. Proof must be provided for ex
ample;
* Receipt
* Vaccination Card
* A phone call direct from us to your vet is also accepted. As we all know animals can fall ill at any time due to no cause of anyone fault. In the event of your pet falling ill while in the care of us at JJ’s we will seek advise and help from our local vet. We will attempt to take your pet to your usual vet but for any reason i.e distance. We will use Spring Lodge Vet located in Witham, Essex. You will be charge £8 an hour for our time and travel. If your pet is in need of more care under the vets advise, Any medication needed will also be charged to you, including general anaesthetic if necessary. We will have spoken to you about what we do in the event of something happening. We will not hold responsibility for any illnesses incurred during your pets stay with us; Myxomatosis, VHD, VHD2, Fly Strike, Mites or any other illnesses. If in emergency your pet has a scheduled appointment at the vet, on a date your pet is scheduled to be boarded with us. This will be discussed with JJ’s and the owner of the pet staying with us. For example: if you are unable to change an appointment you booked a long time ago and now unable to take them. If JJ’s is able to take your pet to the appointment you will be charged 30p a mile and £8 an hour. This is to be agreed on discussion. In the unlikely chance that your pet passes away over the rainbow bridge while boarded with us we will attempt to call you as soon as possible to make arrangements on the next step of what to do. If we do not hear back from you for a substantial amount of time after we make the call to tell you they have passed and you then don’t answer our phone calls etc. We hold the right to take your pet to the vet where he/she will be kept until you return. We will contact the emergency number by default. Please tell us if the “emergency contact” does not want to be contacted in this situation. We will not be held liable if your pet becomes ill or passes away while boarded with us. If your pet is collected earlier than the agreed date. You will be charged the full boarding fee regardless of early collection. If your pet is collected later than the agreed date. You will be charged the full boarding fee incl. the extra time your pet has stayed with us. In the chance of this happening, we cannot always keep your pet in your preferred hutch as this may already be booked so in that case we would move your pet to the next suitable hutch available and you will be charged accordingly. On arrival you are welcome to bring your animal to the gate. Should you wish to enter the property or bring children onto the property of JJ’s Small Animal Boarding you do so at your own risk. Children must be under supervision by an adult at all times. Also petting our other guests is not permitted by visitors. We carry out regular checks to ensure pets are clean and healthy. Fly Guard will be administered onto your rabbit once a week to help prevent fly strike. However, if your rabbit does become a victim of fly strike we at JJ’s will not be held liable. Please read the following carefully before booking-
* I agree that my pet has been vaccinated against Myxomatosis, VHD,VHD2. And I will supply proof of such.
* I agree JJ’s does not accept any pet/pets showing any signs of a contagious or infectious illness. Unless these have been confirmed by a vet directly too JJ’s that they are not contagious or infectious.
* I agree that if my pet fall ill while boarding with JJ’s that they can travel my pet to and from the vets if needed.
* I agree if my pet needs veterinary help they can take them to their preferred vet if unable to get to my chosen vet due to distance. I agree to pay in full any bills that have come from my pet falling ill including general anaesthetic if necessary. I agree to also pay JJ’s for their time at the rate of £8 an hour and 30p a mile to travel to and from the vet.
* I agree that if I cannot be contacted, in the event of my pet needing emergency surgery or euthanasia. The people at JJ’s will act accordingly to the vets advice.
* I agree that if I do not answer the phone call or “emergency contact” does not answer that JJ’s is to follow the vets advice on what help my pet needs.
* I agree JJ’s will not be held responsible for any illnesses or diseases incurred during your pets stay with us.
* I understand the recommendation to treat my pet/pets for fleas, mites before arrival along with a treatment of rear guard that prevents fly strike which I can purchase from a pet shop or local vet.
* I agree that in the unlikely event of my pet passing away will boarded with JJ’s that if I do not answer my phone, they will take my pet to Spring Lodge Vet for them to be looked after until I return to decide what happens with my pet.
* I agree JJ’s will not be responsible if my pet passes away while staying at JJ’s Small Animal Boarding
* I agree if I collect my pet earlier than agrees the full agreed upon amount is what I will pay.
* I agree if I collect my pet later than agreed I will pay for the entirety of my pets stay with JJ’s
* I agree that if I have not collected my pet within 14 days of the agreed collection date and I am not contactable. Owner of JJ’s Small Animal Boarding can find my pet a suitable permanent home.
* I confirm none of my pets are suffering from any illness or disease and are in perfect health to the best of my knowledge when they arrive at JJ’s
* I agree I am required to fill out a booking form with my correct contact details & pet details.
* I agree to bring enough dried food for the duration of my pets stay. JJ’s will provide vegetables, fruit, hay.
* I understand my pets will be separated from other guests at all times unless they are bonded when they arrive at JJ’s
* I agree for JJ’s to obtain any of my pets medical reports. I give the veterinary named on my booking form permission to release any medical information on request.
* I agree that during my absence, I give permission to JJ’s to act as guardian for my pet/pets named on my booking form.
* I understand that should The owner of JJ’s be away for longer than a day a suitable pet sitter with a good knowledge of all pets will stay at JJ’s and take care of my pets that are boarding there.
* I agree that the pet sitter will have my full permission to take care of my pet in the same way as the owner of JJ’s as outlined in these terms and conditions.
* I accept that liability, theft, accident, injury, death, public and all other insurances for both parties, the owner and boarder whilst visiting and boarding with JJ’s are the responsibility of the owner and that JJ’s is released of any and all such responsibilities.
