Please come forward even for half a day!

📣The team at Crown Farm, Ascott under Wychwood have asked us to put out a shout out for volunteers for next weekend’s event📣

They are dangerously short of Fence Judges on all days - so much so that if more people don’t come forward to offer their help, they simply won’t be able to run.

If you have ever competed with us (or are competing at the weekend), and would like to give a little back - Crown Farm would be eternally grateful (and they have one of the best bun runs on the circuit too!) ☕️🧁🍇

Genuinely, if they don’t get more offers of help, they will be forced to cancel their event.

Excited to have you lovely lot join us for our final event of the year! 😬😬

You guys asked and Crown Farm, Ascott under Wychwood have delivered!

They have juggled things about and have ADDED an 80cm class to Saturday 20th July AND a 90cm class to Sunday 21st July!

Both Senior and Junior entries are available and they can be found at www.cotswoldcup.co.uk 🤫 they won’t hang around for long!

We will be joining the Eventing community in a 2-minute silence at noon on Saturday to remember the life of Georgie Campbell, please join us to take time to think about her, all her family, and friends at this time.

The course is available to walk from 2pm on Friday! If you walk before something may change!

Only 8 combinations are allowed in the Show jumping warm-up at once - it’s just nicer for everyone!

Not long now!!!!

The ground is looking 👌 after the wet came the sun and we have been able to mow a few times. The grass cover is great and the course is ready to roll!

UPDATE ON REFUNDS

Following the abandonment of our British Eventing April event, we have been working hard with the British Eventing team to arrange the maximum refunds we can for our competitors.

Yesterday we were able to confirm that with the help of the British Evening Abandonment Fund, we're able to refund 90% of our competitor's entry fee. We believe that we should not benefit from the abandonment of an event but we do have costs to cover.

The team at British Eventing will be processing these refunds as soon as they can. Please allow some time for them to filter back through to your payment methods.

It's been a tough start to the season for everyone, but British Eventing has been working really hard to support organizers and their membership - So I want to give them a huge shout-out!!

We will be opening entries for our June event shortly and we really hope that everyone can show their support to this date.

***** EVENT ABANDONED*****

Following an inspection by BE Officials and the Ascott under Wychwood Team, the decision has been made that sadly all competition at Ascott under Wychwood (1), scheduled to run on Saturday 13th & Sunday 14th April has been abandoned. Following unprecedented rainfall large parts of the site are waterlogged, making any site preparations impossible.

We are beyond gutted, but thank you to everyone who had put their names forward to help!

I hope we see you all in June!

****** ENTRIES ARE OPEN*******

Thank you for everyone's patience! Our entries for the BE event on the 13th & 14th April are now live on the BE website.

With the wettest winter on record, we wanted to be confident that we could deliver the event before opening the entries, getting the fences out on the course was one of these tasks and this is happening as we post!

We are really excited that we have Lloyd Hunt designing and building our track moving forward. He needs no introduction as many of you have jumped his tracks on the circuit. He has brought some fresh eyes and the plan is that we will be able to lengthen the course slightly! Everyone wants that extra time out on the cross-country course!

We are looking for 2 hardworking individuals to join our fun friendly team at Crown Farm. The job will consist of general yard duties to include:

Mucking out
Turning out/bringing in
Feeding
Changing rugs/picking out feet
(Please note this is not a riding role)
Tiding up

Working hours are 5 1/2 days a week to include a day at the weekend, 8 hours a day with an hour for lunch. 8am - 5pm

What can I say another event completed at Crown Farm, Ascott under Wychwood!

We can not thank everyone enough for all their help and hard work, volunteers, lorry parkers, stewards, judges, fence judges, pole pickers, tractor drivers the list is endless.

We hope everyone had a blast! We will be back in September with the Cotswold Cup qualifier.
