Unfortunately we have had a male neutered Black cat brought into the practice this afternoon by a very kind member of the public. The cat was sadly not chipped and therefore we are unable to locate the owner at this time

He was found in the woods of the postcode area RG40 3LZ(see below)

🚧 Due to some planned (and very exciting!) building work going on at Nine Mile Veterinary Hospital, please note that on Saturday 1st and Saturday 8th February, our Saturday morning clinic will be running from our branch over at 📍 Emmview Veterinary Centre in Woosehill, RG41 3DA 📍🚧

🩺 During this time however - our out of hours service MiNightVets Wokingham will be running as usual out of Nine Mile Veterinary Hospital all weekend.🩺

Calling all Dog owners, there has been several cases of a highly Gastric upset known as Haemorrhagic Gastric Enteritis (HGE) being admitted for intense treatment at the hospital.
If your canine best friend develops any of these symptoms please contact us. Decreased or absent appetite. Vomiting. Diarrhoea Passing Blood in the Diarrhoea, passing frank blood. Abdominal discomfort.
We advise walking your dog in less busy dog walking areas.

Unfortunately on the 1st of December 2024 we had a German Shepherd who was sadly passed away brought in by a member of public. The Shepherd does have a chip however this chip is not registered to any microchip sites, please share this post or get in contact with the practice if you may know/are the owners.

🐶🐱As we all know, many dogs and cats spend their time in rescue centres over the Christmas period, at Nine Mile we do an annual Christmas box donation to collect food, toys and accessories for the local rescues. If you would like to help us donate to a good cause, please find the donation box in our Reception waiting area.

🎄As Christmas approaches we would like to remind pet owners the dangers of these Christmas treats which are extremely poisonous to pets 🎄

Mince Pies which contain Raisins and sultanas which can cause acute kidney failure in your pets.

If you believe your pet has consumed this festive treat, please contact your vets as soon as possible.

🚨 OWNER FOUND!🚨

🎉🎉🎉 UPDATE: thank you to everyone who shared far and wide, Kicia has now been reunited with her mum after being missing for 3 months!!! 🎉🎉🎉

🐱 This 11 year old lady was found in a field near the Tally Ho in Finchampstead. 🐱

She is microchipped to an address in West Drayton, Middlesex - however the contact details on the microchip are not up to date, and so we are unable to get hold of her owner.

We are obviously unsure whether her owners have moved to the area, or if she perhaps got in the back of a van and has gone on an unplanned trip!

Please help us reunite this lovely lady with her owners - we just want to make sure her owners aren't missing her as she is very smoochy and affectionate!
