We had the absolute pleasure of meeting Smokey this evening.. How Adorable? 🥰
He’s going to be joining the K9 & Country family as from tomorrow and we can’t wait to go on some adventures.
Smokey is only 13 weeks old and is going through that chewing stage..
We took one of the small Bully Pizzle’s with us and it was a big hit he didn’t leave it alone the whole time we were there.. Bully Pizzles are longer lasting and suitable for pups over 8 weeks these can be frozen making them the ideal teething aid.

We’ve had another shop lifter in town at Driffield Thursday Market 🙈
Beautiful Bella came with her mum to buy some of her favourite treats.. a selection of the Gourmet Sticks..But little did we know as our backs were turned she was helping herself to a tasty Black Pudding stick for breakfast!! 😂

Well what a lovely day it’s been at Bridlington market today.. it was Sam’s 4th birthday from Still Life in the Old 2.0 of course he had to have some extra treats on his special day! 🥳
We love our visits from your four legged friends even if they do help themselves and steal sausages from our customers! 🙈😂

It is important to identify and understand heat stress, heat exhaustion, and heatstroke. Heatstroke is the final stage, these dogs are SEVERELY affected. Seizures, clotting problems, blood lost through vomit and diarrhoea. These dogs are in shock! Submerging icy water is potentially their only chance.

Those who are panting hard, walking like they are drunk, having vomiting and/or diarrhoea without blood, NOT having seizures will respond to cold water on hairless areas and a fan. We don’t need to be as aggressive with our cooling.

All dogs affected by the heat should have a vet check…

having had previous experience of working with dogs, and living with a very nervous rescue we know just how hard it can be at times.
Patience, understanding,reading the dog’s body language, communication, and of course lots of positivity can make a huge difference.
When we first got Cassie our Romanian rescue she wouldn’t leave the house she was so scared, she was terrified of people and other dogs.
Yes she is still very wary of people and dog’s she doesn’t know, but now she can’t wait to get out of the door for her daily walks!

Well it’s been another early start for us today, but yet again this awful weather has let us down.
So unfortunately we will not be at Skirlington market today.
I wish I could say it’s going to be a relaxing day at home, but as many small business owners know you never really get a day off.
I’m sure Cassie and Ella will be pleased to see us though 💕
