Unfortunately it has become necessary for me to increase my prices. The rising cost of diesel alone is one factor, plus the rise in cost of shampoos, equipment, van and equipment maintenance etc. The price will increase by £5 per groom, for most dogs, and will come into effect on April 1st 2022. I haven't raised my prices for the last 3 years and I hope you all understand 😊x

So unfortunately today we have been issued new lockdown conditions, groomers are no longer able to work unless it is for a welfare groom, this includes mobile groomers. A welfare groom is if the dog is matted or nails so long they are curling under, basically anything that is causing the dog pain or discomfort. We also have to keep an audit trail to prove it is a welfare issue as hefty fines are being issued for non compliance
Groomers may accept a dog to be groomed by appointment where this is necessary for the animal’s welfare and not simply for aesthetic reasons. Welfare reasons could include on veterinary advice for a skin condition or the potential for excessive matting causing the pet discomfort. When routine grooming can be delayed without affecting the pet’s welfare until the national lockdown is eased it should be put off.
Therefore I must abide by these rules.
All of you that have appointments booked with me I will be contacting you over the next couple of days to rebook or to assess the need for the groom. If at any point you are worried about your dogs please contact me.

I am allowed to keep working during this lockdown as groomers are considered essential under welfare regulations. So if you have an appointment booked with me I will still be attending. However, if you, or anyone around you, has been advised to isolate or has received a positive covid test then please let me know as soon as possible. Also if you are worried and would rather rearrange I will understand 😊x
