Hello everyone! I have some exciting news. After a long wait, we've finally booked our honeymoon! Our previous trip was unfortunately cancelled, but we're thrilled to say we are now officially heading to Thailand!

Because of the trip, I will be unavailable for walks and drop-ins from 5 PM on November 2nd, returning to work at 8 AM on November 17th.

As much as I love the dogs in my pack, I wanted to remind you all that Aunty Lexy's Pet Care isn't just for dogs! I also offer drop-in visits for cats, fish, and other small animals.

You might not see as many pictures of my smaller clients, and that's because many of their families prefer to keep their pets' lives private. Of course, I always respect their wishes!

However, the lovely owners of Jinxx, Poppy, and their fishy friends have given me the green light to share some cuteness with you all. 💙

Why don't I wear a uniform or have a branded car?

When I first started my business, I was so excited to look professional that I had everything branded, including my uniform. It made me feel confident and official, but I quickly learned that my safety and the safety of the dogs in my care were more important than a branded T-shirt.

I had a few scary instances of being followed while out on walks. The person even knew my name because it was on my uniform. It completely ruined what was once a peaceful, calming part of my day. I had to change my routes, my timing, and even my outfits just to feel safe again.

That's why you'll never see me in a branded uniform or car. It's a conscious choice to protect myself and your beloved pets.

I also never post my location or schedule online. I've noticed a lot of new dog walkers doing this, and I've reached out to them privately to share my experiences. My husband and I use a safety app so he always knows my location and when I'm expected home, which gives us both peace of mind.

So, while I may look like a rainbow has thrown up on me with my brightly colored shirts and blue hair, please know that this is me at my safest and most comfortable. This is my way of making sure I can continue to provide the best care for your dogs for years to come.

I do have other things in place to keep us all safe, but I'm not going to show all of my cards online.

Can't always be there for your relatives and their pets every day?
Now you can rest easy knowing their pets are looked after and your relatives have some company.

I've just launched a new service that helps you care for your loved ones and their furry best friends. I'll take their dog for a fun walk and also spend time with them, making sure they're not lonely.

We can sit and chat over a cup of tea, I can help with a little shopping or laundry, or whatever else they might need.

In my experience, taking the time to stop and talk with someone can make all the difference to their day. It also takes the pressure off of you, knowing they have a friend to keep them company.
