NEW NAME, NEW WEBSITE!
After a very fun and busy summer of dogs, horses and children, I have finally got my new website up and running. I was getting lots of enquiries from clients asking if I did boarding so I have now applied for a boarding license. Training and Physio continue as normal.
My business name is changing to…

Public Service Announcement:

If you are out walking with your dog and someone asks you to please call your dog, just do it.

They do not owe you an explanation and it is not open to debate. If they want you to call your dog away from themselves or their dogs, it is your responsibility to do so.

If you cannot or will not call your dog away and (s)he continues to persist at interacting with the unwilling person/dog, then you have an out-of-control dog. It does not matter if you believe your dog's intentions are friendly.

Dogs that run up to other dogs/people uninvited and ignore (or cannot understand) the other dog/person's clear lack of desire to interact are not really friendly, they are rude. If these dogs cannot be called away, they need to stay on a lead until they have been more adequately trained.

And finally, it is not the responsibility of other people's dogs to "teach your dog a lesson". You are responsible for your own dog's behaviour and other dogs should not have to be pushed to the point where they need to use aggression to get him or her away.

If you think your dog might be struggling with recall and you would like some help with training, we run regular 121 training sessions and recall workshops designed for just this purpose! :)

STOP PRESS: The RSPCA reporting log has gone live. Please use it to report any problems you have with fireworks/animals as the government need facts and figures before they take any action. Up to now there have been no official figures because no one is collecting and collating the information. This is an official RSPCA initiative to provide government with the information they need.

https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/TKWMJJC

Although it may look like a one off survey it CAN and should be completed EVERY time an animal is affected by fireworks. You can complete it as many times as you need.

We understand that you may want to check it is bona fide before completing so you can find it on the RSPCA website. From their main page https://www.rspca.org.uk/ go to the menu and select:

* Get Involved
* Campaign
* Fireworks

Then Scroll down the page until you see the green box with "share your story" (almost at the bottom of the page). Click on the "share your fireworks story" button to begin.

You can see the RSPCA privacy notice at the bottom of their page.

ODOTW are Sheriff & Lacey 💜 These cuties are sisters with a lot of love to give! They want a quiet home with no other pets. They could live with older children but they do like lots of rest. They don’t need walks but they do need a garden, for Lacey’s ball games and Sheriff’s snuffling! Please help Sheriff & Lacey by sharing their page!

At the Home: Just chillin' in my bunk bed... Daisy enjoys being an office dog as she gets lots of company. Sadly, she has a terminal heart condition so we are looking for a quiet and loving home for her - she needs to keep calm and stress-free. She would like company for most of the time, short pottering walks and plenty of belly rubs.
If you can offer her a home for the short time she has left, please read more about her online and apply in the usual way https://www.bathcatsanddogshome.org.uk/rehoming/dogs/daisy/9632/

Now, the animals can only be sold at the premises they were bred, or from rescue centres.

We are currently looking for a home for this little chap. Alfie is nine years old, is epileptic and he came to Wadars after his owner sadly passed away. He is good on the lead, is fine with other dogs and is a very friendly lad who loves company. Alfie's condition is being regulated with medication, and he is also on a healthy eating plan which he will need to remain on for a while yet. We are looking for a quiet, adult only home for Alfie - if you think that he might be the boy for you then please call us on 01903 247111 and a member of the team will explain the adoption process.
