As 2024 comes to a close, I want to take a moment to say a big thank you to all of my amazing customers and clients for your continued support and trust this year. It’s been a pleasure working with you, and I’m so grateful for each of you.

Mini grooms are perfect for those in-between full groom appointments, to keep your dog clean and maintain their smart appearance, or throughout the winter months when perhaps a full body trim is not required.

They include:
- Warm water bath
- Blowdry
- Pawdicure
- Trim near the eyes
- Ears cleaned
- Hygiene area trim

We also find many owners opt for this when the dogs are attending weddings or family gatherings and want their dogs to be clean and tidy!

Here is 8 month old Miniature Schnauzer, Betty 🥰

Her owner was worried she wasn't going to settle, but taking things at Betty's pace and introducing new things slowly, she behaved beautifully. I am looking forward to seeing her again in the New Year.

🎄🐾 Charity Christmas Raffle Alert! 🐾🎄

This beautiful hamper (worth approx. £120) could be yours, along with four amazing runner-up prizes! 🎁✨

I’m a proud trustee of Cloud K9 Rescue, a UK charity supporting dogs in Romania. This fundraiser is helping to fund a vital neuter/spay campaign in Pata Rat, Europe’s largest landfill near Cluj. I have visited this place, it’s an experience I’ll never forget. 💔

We’re working with the incredible TAC social team, who run on-site campaigns with dedicated vets, vet nurses, and volunteers. Every dog spayed or neutered prevents the suffering of countless unwanted puppies. 💕

🎟 Tickets: £2 each or 3 for £5
📅 Draw Date: Saturday, 21st December
📍 Delivery: York & surrounding areas only

Your dogs don’t join this club, they just progress into it. Some dogs are like Peter Pan and never seem to change, others slow down sooner but each one is different and needs that individual approach.

As dogs enter their senior years, they may experience changes like diminished sight or hearing, or stiffer joints, which can develop gradually or sometimes quite suddenly. If you notice these changes at home, please let me know so I can adjust their grooming session to make it as comfortable as possible. This might mean more frequent visits for shorter trims or allowing extra breaks during their groom.

Having senior dogs myself, I understand their needs and am here to ensure they feel safe, relaxed, and cared for every step of the way.

Hello everyone!

I’ve been so busy with life, work, and of course, my own dogs, that I’ve given my social media a bit of a miss lately. But I’m pleased to say that I’m back!

For those who don’t know me, I’m Colleen, and I’ve been grooming dogs here in Woodthorpe since 1992. Grooming has always been more than just a job to me and I'm lucky to be able to say I still love it after all these years.

I can’t wait to share more with you all about what I’ve been up to, introduce some of my gorgeous clients, and show a little more of who I am and how I work behind the scenes.
