Did you know that up to 85% of all the oxygen we breathe comes from phytoplankton aka tiny ocean plants.

We often hear people scoff when we mention fishless oceans but we need to discuss MORE the negative implications fishing has on us too.

We are destroying the very air we need to breathe.

Animal agriculture and fossil fuels have significantly contributed to the rising temperatures of the ocean.

The increase in temperatures is killing off phytoplankton which is not only air for us but food for fish.

There are a lot of connections that are being ignored. We are all one.


We will literally suffocate if we don't change our ways. We can't depend on governments and leaders to save us. We can help by adopting a vegan or plant-based based diet and encouraging others to do so!

Plastic is one of the materials that takes the longest time to decompose and at the same time is one of the most widely used in today's society.

It is estimated that plastic takes between 100 and 1,000 years to decompose, so it is considered a very slow and long-term decomposing material. A plastic bottle takes up to 500 years to disintegrate, although if it is buried this time is even longer.

In the last 30 years, the manufacture of plastic products has increased worldwide by more than 70%.

While the flexible and unbreakable nature of plastic makes it ideal for use in previously breakable items such as bottles and jars, the durable nature of plastic also means that plastic products take years to decompose, even in landfills.

One of the most worrisome impacts of plastic is the pollution of seas and oceans. Plastic in the sea and ocean not only has an impact on the landscape, but also on its biodiversity. The most harmful plastics are microplastics, which are smaller than 5 mm.

What can we do?
• Use items that are reusable wherever possible.
• Do not use straws or single-use plastic straws.
• Buy food in bulk - more and more stores are opting for this method.
• Avoid consumption of coffee in capsules, as these cannot be recycled.
• Say no to animal products, especially fish - over 50% of ocean plastic is made up of discarded fishing gear.

It is estimated that we lose around 137 species everyday due to deforestation. This is due mainly to habitat destruction, increased risk of predation, and reduced food availability.

While much deforestation is caused by forest fires, which thanks to global warming are on the rise, the majority is caused by agriculture. As well as logging occurring to create paper products, vast areas of forest are cleared to make space for animal grazing and to grow soy crops for animal feed.
