✨ "It's just a cat" ✨
Diaz, 6 years old, is not just a blind cat. Since he was a baby he suffered the occasional seizures, some mild, some more severe, but never something too serious. He has never purred, he is mentally challenged and only recognises a few things in his life - but the ones that matter - his bed, his food, his litter and my voice. He is an eating machine, a lazy kitty that loves to sleep, make cookies on his favourite blanket and give kisses. He is living the dream 😁
Even though his homeopathic medication, CBD oil and the occasional diazepam are very helpful, he suddenly started going into status epilepticus a few times a year a couple years ago. Each time is different and you just never know how each SE will evolve and if it's going to be the end. His body, his brain suffer. Thanks to both his amazing doctors, he miraculously pulls through every time, so far. It's amazing and inspiring how strong he is.
As long as he is self reliant, I will be giving him every chance in life I can. He is enjoying every day, his meals, his warmth, his hugs.
Animals with special needs should be valued, they deserve our respect and support.
Diaz is important and he is perfect the way he is.
