I can vouch for these two dogs being the most adorable, affectionate, sweet little dogs. I looked after them for a month and totally fell in love. I’d have them in a heartbeat if I could.
And whoever takes them if it’s in Corfu, I will be happy to come to take care of them if you need to go away in winter.

What a result! Enimirosi just sent me their latest article on this. The power of social media. The outrage at this man’s treatment of these dogs means he’s facing a fine of €61,800 and charges of animal abuse. Let’s hope this time this actually gets held up!

CORFU. Charges have been brought against the man for animal abuse.

Hello all!

Lennie here. I’m feeling strong enough to write my own update today. From the comfort of my basket and with a full tummy of course.

Mummy Lesley says I’m doing very well thank you. I still have lots of sores which are slowly healing up so that I will be able to have a lovely splish splash bath soon I hope. I have put on a whole 2kg!!

Beth is also getting stronger and has also put on 2kg. She has lost a lot of fur, but is keeping warm by sunbathing.

We mostly eat and sleep because we still don’t have a lot of energy but we do like to have a potter in the garden and ‘visit’ the chickens.

Here are some photos of us. I think I am looking very handsome and will be a dashing boy one day and Beth a pretty lady!

Lots of love Lennie

How’s our Lennie today Lesley Bourne-Mullen?! And of course little Beth?

18/05/2020

So today I received this lovely video from Lesley, Lennie’s wonderful foster mum. Look how he’s doing and how wonderfully waggy his tail is! And the little tan hound is Beth who Lesley took in literally days after taking Lennie in. Both on the path to recovery!

Then there’s wonderful, healthy Alma their fur foster mum who is also looking for a home!

Get sharing folks.

And please make any donations to www.corfuanimalwelfare.com

Many thanks again to those who have already donated

Sometimes it takes a team of people to save one dog, but it’s worth it when that dog goes on to live a happy life however long that may be!

Many thanks again to Mara who kept Lennie in her garden when he was found. Thanks to Spiridoula who reached out for help for him in the first place and has visited him in his foster home etc
and been in contact with The Ark.
Thanks to Alison for driving him to the vets with me and picking him up and taking him with me to his new foster home. Thanks to Lesley for fostering him and giving him the care he so desperately needed. Thanks to Samantha for never forgetting this boy and remembering he was the dog she had regularly been feeding along with his family, but then he disappeared and she never forgot him. Thanks to Daniella who has offered him a forever home if he can get to the UK one day. Thanks to The Ark for financial support. Thanks to all the people who have donated so that this boy is now medicated, well fed and on the path to recovery...

Lennie’s been with Lesley Bourne-Mullen 5 days now and he’s already showing improvement.
Who knows how often he was even fed before and so now he already looks like he’s gained a bit of weight... and each day he is getting more active

Lovely update from Lesley

‘Lennie slept through on a very full stomach. Was excited to see me this morning as I represent food. Just bathed his eyes so they look much better. He has a little wander but not for long. Going to add olive oil to his food and Jenni Gardiner is giving proper oil capsules for him.
Alma is still quite concerned about Lennie and doesnt let him away from his bed unless she is there to assist. All quiet and peaceful anyway.’

Here they are keeping an eye on the chickens!

One of Lennie’s new foster mums, Alma (also one of Lesley’s foster dogs who also needs a forever home). She spent the whole time we were there tucking Lennie in! 🥰

So today Lennie arrived at his wonderful new foster home with lovely Lesley Bourne-Mullen. He has wonderful brothers and sisters including Lesley’s 3 other dogs, her other foster dog, cats and chickens!

We are sure he is going to be very happy there with them and that he is in the best hands he possibly can be to face his recovery journey. I wish him so
much luck and happiness for the rest of his life, however long that is!

Thanks so much to Alison Green (it won’t let me tag you) for everything you have done to get this boy to the vets and from the vets to his foster home. Without you he could still be on the streets. You took the time to do all this to give this boy a chance despite already having so much to do with all your rescued animals.

Thanks to Spiridoula for all your support and advice. You are the reason we met this poor boy and that is because someone reached out to you after finding him knowing you would help.

Thanks to The Ark for paying for his treatment without which he simply won’t survive.

Thanks to Lesley for taking this boy in. You already have so much on your plate with so many other rescues and yet you have opened your heart and home to another.

Thanks to Dinos for being a great vet to the strays of Corfu including Lennie.

Thanks to Samantha who never gave up on trying to find Lennie after he disappeared in December when she was regularly feeding him.

And finally big thanks to all those who have donated. Without these donations his treatment wouldn’t be possible and he wouldn’t have any chance to survive.

These photos and videos show the reason we have all done our upmost to do the best for him... (Videos to follow)

06/05/2020

So I decided to create this page to share updates on lovely Lennie because already I’ve received a lot of messages asking after him.
I thought it would be a good idea to have one place where people can follow updates etc, show support for him and suggest ways to raise more money for his treatment.
I can always still post links to this page on updates of our existing posts.
