Kalimerrraaaa my Doggie Besties 💜🐾

I don't know what time it was, but I'm sure I heard a car, yet I dozed off again. How long in-between I don't know either as I heard some dogs bark after, so I decided to get up.

Diva with me as she is big and scares people off. And yep, she went to the right front corner, nose up in the air and making sounds.

I got back in to get my headlamp and went straight to the 'dumping spot'.

Ofcourse.

A sound of movement. Yep, two crates fixed to build a closed crate with 7 puppies inside. God no, please.....

Making soft food in the middle of the night, no electricity, just my headlamp. Six were eating like wolves, this little one not.

Taking it separately immediately, luckily I had one empty crate and one top if a crate that I put on the floor with a diaper pad.

Wanted to clean them but I decided to let them rest a bit first, plus I needed rest too, so I went back to sleep again. Normally I would not sleep well, too worried if they are ok, but I know by now that whatever happens, it happens and sometimes I can't control it.

The one that doesn't eat had a bit of 'normal' diarrhea (no blood color, no strange smells) and vomited slime, no color, no food. She drank a tiny bit, i tried to feed it with the feeding syringe I bought for cases like this, but not a lot stayed in. I gave her some vitamin paste which she could not spit out, so at least she has this. I also offered some goat yoghurt, which normally is greeted like something they love, but also this was a 'no'.

So to the vet in a bit with aunty Thalia.

Ofcourse these tiny creatures will cost me a fortune again, vaccinations, parasite control, special food, etc, so if you can donate a tiny bit, it is much appreciated and very welcome and necessary.

Good evening my Doggie Besties 💜🐾

Something is bugging me...

I was at the vet today and we met one sweet lady. I know her name and where she lives, but I won't write it down as yet, as I want to find a sort of solution or help for her.

She is an elderly lady that had one of her dogs there, which was going to have an emergency surgery, an infection of the uterus.

She told me she has 16 dogs and a few of them are huge, whom knock her over every now and then. These dogs were brought to her by people that promised her to take them back again after a few weeks, yet never returned.

She is struggling financially, as we all do, but her psychological struggle was more worrying. She had to tell her story and I listened.

And now I want to help her. To see her with her dog, worried, sad, confused was heart wrenching, and I can't let the sight of her go.

I know that I'm not comfortable with finances too, I have a lot to do still; spay neuter all the new ones, finish their vaccinations, build new kennels, etc, but this lady needs help too.

I'm thinking of fundraising for her, to cover the vet bill of the surgery that her dog has had today. If I ask the vet tomorrow what it costs, is there anyone that likes to chip in?

I will give it to the vet or if the vet contacts her, I'll give it to her.

Can we make this happen for her? It will lift her spirit for sure and it will give her the strength to carry on, as she has little faith in people, or believing that there are good human beings too.

So we went to the vet, Thalia and me, and we spoke about Mimi and her seizure yesterday. It is a good idea to give her neuro support food.

She is fine, but ofcourse it can happen again, with neuro support food there is less of a chance.

Good evening my Doggie Besties 💜🐾

As promised, my update....

First of all, Mimi, the Distemper girl had a mega seizure 😭. I was afraid this would happen and I think it was overstimulation in combination with the heat that triggered it.

I will speak with the vet tomorrow, to see what is best to do.

Then we have little Junior, one of the last 4 puppies that came and were Parvo positive a few weeks ago. All four are fine.

Junior tends to drink a lot usually. I tell him off and it worked, so i thought it was safe to go inside to do something, while they played.

I called them for food and Junior didn't come, normally he's first. After a few minutes he showed up, bloated triple his size.
He started vomiting and I understood; water intoxication.....

He started to be lethargic, to the point he fell asleep standing up, he staggered like a drunk man, pale gums, dilated pupils, vomiting and excessive drooling....

His heartbeat was steady, luckily. I sat with him for a bit and he started to lift his head again, and he is ok now, sleeping, but ok.

Now I'm tired of the adrenaline that kicked in, so I go to sleep!!!

Good evening my Doggie Besties 💜🐾

Sorry for my late update, but I was running all day. Yesterday evening I wanted to take the car and it wouldn't start, no battery.

Nobody passes here, so there I was....

I bought cables, went down by bike to buy them and this morning I waited till someone would pass. Nobody...

So I walked to a building site, and asked a man. He came with me!! And it started again!

Then I had to race to the vet with Thalia, I also was supposed to bring Dali, but I had not enough time to prepare him, so we will do his vaccination Wednesday as tomorrow its a bank holiday.

The paper im waiting for from Holland to work is on its way too, had to pay bloody 72€ for that, a proof i went to school, but let's hope I will 100 double it at work so it was worth it.

Very important also is that I want to neuter the male dogs of let's say the 'Pixie puppies'. There are 4 boys and all of them are more than ready. It will calm them down as all of them are super male dogs. Of which Max acts as the Alpha, but no worries, I can handle him. Been there, done that!!

Sammy, Jari and Jimmy are a handful too, yet not as bossy as Max. So I want the big chop chop to happen.

It will cost around 360-400€, for all of them.

Good Morning my Doggie Besties 💜🐾

Second shot of the second round today!! She loved it.

Now she doesn't want to get out of the car as normally we go somewhere, but as I had to go early and the man had not passed with the dogs yet, I wanted to go and check first if all was ok.

And luckily i did, the dogs of the man were in front of the gate making havoc and also the neighbours are burning the cuttings of the olive trees, which is extra excitement.

So walkies later for this brave girl.

If it wasn't so hot she could stay in the car, but that's not a good idea. So a bit of patience for this impatient girl!!
