Good morning my Doggie Besties 💜 🐾

Here we have Chica, a beautiful girl that deserves a home too. Chica has her serious face on, as mum was screaming.

Not at the dogs, but as it is day 5 without water and they had promised water yesterday, mum flipped. Once again. Now they promised to turn the water on at 14.00. I believe more in the existence of UFO's than in a promise of Dimos Hersonissos.

So far I had to spend nearly 100€ extra to buy bottled water for them to drink. I have water in tanks but as it sits still, I don't want them to drink this. I use it for cleaning.

I have showers with bottled water. The life of a rescue in Greece, Crete, 2025. Shameful but true.

So we all feel her anger and we are all behaving.

No worries doggos, mum isn't angry with you.

We have raised a whopping 665€ for the solar system. We need 335€ more for the whole system, but with this money I can already buy bigger batteries and have light at least for winter.

Good morning my Doggie Besties 💜 🐾

Beautiful Hercules here wants to give you an update on the solar system.

Mum spoke with solar man yesterday and as we have raised 650€ so far, we can buy the battery we need plus another thing we need, a diverter, so we can start to work with the old inverter ( which is bad quality but for now it will do) and have light.

A new good quality inverter will cost around 400€ and will last for many years.

So I'm going to call the man to proceed with buying the batteries and diverter for now and have electricity at last.....

This is just such a happy boy. Still on the streets, but always with his mama and near the shelter where he gets food and water.

Hopefully soon with some light too!!

Solar is needed ASAP as it is getting dark sooner again. And I want to work from home in the winter.

BAD NEWS

As you all know, last year a solar system was supposed to be donated. Unfortunately the person that was going to buy it and install it, did not provide any invoices, nor the right material as the system seemed to collapse all the time due to a battery that was supposed to be a certain power, but was after measurement, much lower than the sticker said.

We ( the people who donated and i) decided to not continue with this person, but to continue with the man that installed the one panel a few years ago on the doomed land.

However, since March I am begging to get things done, it is September now and still no solar system or electricity at all.

It starts to get dark earlier already and I just want light, but also electricity to charge and run some much needed electrical devices like my tablet and very important for dog medication, a fridge. I am now running to people to charge my tablet, which is ridiculous.
After again being promised to contact the man for the solar, three weeks ago, nothing has been done yet and I think it is safe to say that it fell through for whatever reason.

I can't wait much longer as winter time will start soon and I simply can't without anymore, so I set up a fundraiser for a solar system, which will cost 1000€.

I have also explained to them that I need electricity to be able to work from home, to make money in winter for the dogs, all ignored.

So, once again I need your help.

Buying bags and/or dresses also helps, I can put it towards my solar system.

I'm very disappointed in how things went, but disappointments seem to come over and over again with running a shelter, so it's OK.
