More socialization! I wish I had a video of how he acted the first time I took him into public. Barking at everyone, his head space was a mess. If he saw a dog he lost it worse.

Today, 8 months later he uses his brain more. He was near 3 leashed dogs, 3 strays and never once lunged or barked, even though he was barked at.

It all takes time! We still have a way to go!

Need to brag on this dog and our progress real quick!
First pict is him with a drag leash on our run. I have him muzzled for safety and so he has time wearing it. Right around this corner is a dog on leash. I am sure he saw it before I did, but I called him back and picked the leash up. We went about our run with no reaction. This was the second dog we saw during our run.
Why is this a big milestone? Radr is dog reactive. In fact the first time he met his sister Juliet he tried to eat her.

We got it done today! Did some bite training, ran our mile and then played some fetch.

Everyday has training opportunities! How are you taking advantage of them?

Use what you have! You don't need fancy items.
Yesterday, I made a frontal position to line Radr up straight. I used two beach chairs.
Today, I grabbed my junk garden fence to make signs for when I tie Radr out and venture away from him for training!

It doesn't have to be pretty gear to get a pretty result!

We have been working on basic commands with ball as a reward. He LOVES ball. We are dipping our toes into canicross sports while trying to develop as much confidence in him as possible.

Hey there! It has been a hot minute(years) since I have posted on this page! I still am very interested in dog training, but rethinking my alternate career as a trainer.
A few months back, I had to put Prometheus to sleep, told myself I was not getting another dog, then somehow ended up with this piece you see pictured. Say hello to my new training project!
Continuously working on building confidence and exposing him to all I can.
