It's with deep Regret we announce the passing of our beloved daughter Isis. She has left a space that cannot be replaced and I know that she's in a special place in heaven ♥️🥺
I would also like to take this opportunity to highlight the need for improved veterinary services in Guyana, a call for Vets that are competent and genuinely care about animals.
Isis was a victim of veterinary neglect and incompetence by not 1 but multiple persons ( names I would not mention) .
I pray for our pets moving forward that betterment is in store.

We would like to thank Mr. Allan Mitchell who came all the way from Trinidad 🇹🇹for covering the judging at the show last Sunday. He was able to highlight faults and recommend improvements for dogs and their handlers some of his decisions has left some disgruntled participants ,however the judge saying is final and one of the reasons we here at Olympus Kennels seek to fly in independent judges that are experienced, fair and unbiased . Mr Mitchell accomplishments and experiences cannot be overlooked , 20 Years of Showing dogs, Reared several champions in different breeds ,current winner of TTKC Best in Show ,1 reserved best in Show ,2 Independent Kennel club Best in show, handler of many champions and breeding and training show line dogs for countless years.
Our goal at OKGY is to continue raising the bar of the sport and with that standards are going to continue to raise.
Everyone loves their dogs and consider them champions in their eyes but in the ring it's a whole other world we must let go of personal feelings and embrace clean sportsmanship.
Education is key one must study what it is to be a handler ,what is breed confirmation and how a dog should behave in the ring then put that knowledge into practice . We must purge our mind of the analogy that "Bigger is Better" " and fatter is healthier" we must learn to accept that our animals have faults and either we correct those faults or get a better "show quality" specimen.
With that I encourage all my fellow brothers and sisters to continue striving for greatness , revaluate yourself and your animals and come better next year 🙏💯🔥🇬🇾

It was Intense Competition as our Reigning champion Tatiana won The most obedient Competition,copping the title for the second year🏆 Will she Go for the hat trick this year or will we have a new champion on Sunday May 5th? 🥵💯 For the most obedient competition persons will be asked to give their dogs 4 basic commands Sit,Down,stay and come points will be awarded for how effective dogs performs these commands, bonus points will also be awarded for tricks 💯🇬🇾 See you there and Good luck ✅
