After months of preparation, it was a huge relief to see him wake up from surgery.

We are so sad to hear of An An’s passing. It was 4 years ago that we had the honour of meeting him.
We will miss you An An. RIP.

【網上弔唁冊悼念大熊貓安安精彩一生】
大熊貓安安於 2022 年 7 月 21 日與世長辭，享年 35 歲(等同於人類 的 105 歲)。安安自 1999 年來到海洋公園，是人工飼養環境下全球迄今最長壽的雄性大熊貓。

安安與公園一起共同成長，作為公園不可或缺的一員，更和廣大市民及來自世界各地的訪客建立了深厚的友誼。安安和佳佳於1999年一同來到海洋公園，多年來一直擔當著保育大使的重任，協助公園宣揚自然生態和保育知識，深受各界歡迎愛戴。我們感謝牠為香港市民及來自世界各地的遊人宣揚自然生態和保育知識所作出的貢獻。

公園將於今日在「香港賽馬會四川奇珍館」設置弔唁冊。如你未能親身到訪，亦可在此帖文的留言位置弔唁以悼念這位深受愛戴的動物大使。

[Online Condolence for public to mourn the life of Giant Panda An An ]
Giant Panda An An passed away on July 21,2022 at age 35 (the equivalent of 105 years in human age). An An was the world’s longest-living male giant panda under human care and had been living in Ocean Park Hong Kong since 1999.

An An is an indispensable member of our family and has grown together with the Park. He has also built a strong bond of friendship with locals and tourists alike. Since Jia Jia arrived Hong Kong with An An in 1999, they have supported the Park’s endeavours in promoting nature and ecosystems to visitors as its ambassadors and they were loved by visitors from around the world.

We want to express our gratitude to An An for all of the wonderful things he brought the people of Hong Kong and our visitors from around the world, as he was a true ambassador of conservation and educational messaging.

The Park will host condolence books at The Hong Kong Jockey Club Sichuan Treasures from today. If you are not able to visit in person, you can leave the condolence in the comment section to pay tribute to An An.
