Entering the new year we had a joyful time spent on dog sitting one of our regular dog Bosses, Louise.

Our dog sitter stayed with Louise from January for 4 days and 3 nights at her house in Babakan-Canggu when her pawrents were away.

Louise of course had her daily morning walk and afternoon walk around the house area plus some play times in between.

Thank you Ibu Diane & Pak Gerry for trusting us to look after and stay with Louise when you’re away.

We had an opportunity for looking after little Miss Espresso & little Miss Ristretto from December 23rd 2023 to January 4th, 2024, when their human pawrents were away.

These Kopi girls did not only spent time with us in finishing 2023 well & full of gratitude. They also spent time with us entering 2024 in full energy and joy.

We had a fun time dog sitting full day for these two cutties, two of our favourite dog bosses, Mila and BooBoo!

Started with morning walk, then had some Kin Dog treats after walk, took some short nap and chilled while it’s raining in Berawa, then walked in the afternoon when the rain stopped before had their early dinner. Full day spent well with their sitter before their Mama got back home.

🐕 Rest in love Coklat aka Agiel 🐕

Our team call him Coklat or Agiel, but we never really sure what’s his real name from his owner.

He was one of “owned” dogs in Tangkuban Perahu part of Padang Sambian Kelod near Athena area that most of his live basically spent living on the street and wasn’t really looked after by his owner.

That’s why we put him on our stray dogs list we fed & looked after regularly at least since 2020.

Few months ago Jeanie & Ella spotted Coklat had an open bleeding wound on his right thigh. Right after they went home Angelia came to check with a vet. We got medicines for him. Few weeks later he had another open bleeding wound again. We took him to the vet & it took longer to heal because it kept opened again. The staffs working at Bakso Agiel II gave him medicines too.

Unfortunately it’s been more than 8 weeks we haven’t seen him around. Every single day until this morning we have checked all spots & potential streets he might be, but we couldn’t find him. Some ppl told us he’s gone forever already.

There are some other rescuers and individuals too (foreigners and Indonesian) in Bali who personally cared about Coklat or Agiel, by giving him medicines or foods besides us (such as Cyrille Peters, the owner and workers at Bakso Agiel II & Ayu who helped us feed so many times).

And through these years, we’re thankful for pawrents who used our services in the past & who’ve continuously used our service from 2020 until today, so we can continue to look after our street buddies like Coklat/Agiel by giving them good foods, vaccinations, skin & thick flea meds & also health treatment supports.

We’d like to express our gratitude again for these amazing individuals & businesses who supported Agiel in the past through us :
& who donated us some money from Grandma Rena in NZ in 2021 so we could vaccinate and deworming Coklat.

We’ve been cat sitting the Neville’s Cat Clan since August 2022 regularly.

This time our cat sitter sit the cat clan again from January 1st for few days. We’re not only happy to spend time with Snowy, Addison, Helmet, and Orange, but also Gracie and her two kittens (we’ll share about them on the next post).

Last time we posted about Molly—one of our regular dog bosses, we shared about our dog walking session with her on November 14th.

The next two days our dog sitter also took her out again for an afternoon walk. She got picked up and taken for a motorbike ride not too far from her home.

She also visited Kuro and Gede again at Downtimr Cafe and played with them at the backyard after her long walk. Molly got dropped back home before her dinner time.

On March 2023, for 3 days our cat sitter looked after Miss Amelia’s cats (Marble, Mouchette, and Yoda). At that time there were also 4 temporary fostered kittens Chicken, Nugget, Daisy and Freya.

Those kittens are now waiting for their loving families and forever homes at The Odd Cat Bali.

Miss Amelia is one of our regular cat parents who’ve been using our Cat House Care Service since January 2023. But she has been an amazing support for us as she’s helping us for our street cats daily feeding, street cats TNR project, and rescued kittens in Kerobokan Kelod area since the last few years.

On March, we had an inquiry for the house care service for her 3 lovely cats (the antisocial Marble and Mouchette, and the sweetest Yoda).

Molly is one of our regulars.

Today, Nov 14th, we took Molly for the afternoon walk.

Her sitter picked her up and took her for a motorbike ride not too far from home.

They then walked half route in one of our regular dog walking spots then stopped by for a few minutes break because they needed a break. It was too hot and her sitter needed to buy a cold drink in a small warung nearby (and Molly wanted to drink too).

Molly then continued her motorbike ride with her sitter and they stopped by at Downtime Cafe in Kerobokan. They walked again with Kuro (the cafe’s dog), Gede (the foster dog) and their paw-rents for another route. After walk all doggies had a cold mineral water (with ice cubes too!).

Molly then got dropped back home before her dinner time.

After almost 3 months we dog sit Louise non stop from August 13th to November 1st, we had another weekend dog sitting with Louise this Saturday afternoon to Sunday afternoon.

Her sitter also took her to play with Kuro and Gede the Bali dogs at Downtime Cafe in Kerobokan after their afternoon walk. 😃

We are a small group of young Indonesians who have been doing daily street cats and dogs feeding in some areas in Padang Sambian Kelod, Kerobokan Kelod, and Umalas.

We also do vaccinations, TNR, and also support regular health care for them (deworm, thick & fleas meds, scabbies meds, etc).

Areas we cover atm is about 9 Banjars in Padang Sambian Kelod, Kerobokan Kelod and Umalas. We also support our local communities who have adopted street cats or dogs we used to feed with foods, with yearly vaccinations, sterilization, and health cares.

Our sitters don’t do sitting services for living. They donate their time and energy and they have their own main job. We only reimburse them for their petrol and sometimes 1x food. All profit we earn goes to fund our projects.

As we do daily street feeding for some street cats and dogs here in Bali, and we actively do TNR for them too, we are totally losing words for this very irresponsible action done by this “animal lover” influencer 😞

We haven’t stopped wondering every night since the day we knew Odd Cat Bali’s rescue mission, how about the rest of the cats she has left behind on environment they aren’t familiar with and never used to find foods themselves in “the wild” because a girl like this who have so much money think it’s best for them to free off of the cage.

Wirajati’s feline family is one of our favorite feline families!!! 🐱

Our cat sitter team had fun, joyful and lovely times spent looking after this feline clan again!

After 21 days looked after these fur babies at their home in April this year, we had other chances to spend time with them for other 4 days and 3 days this August when their paw-rents were away.

We are super grateful for the opportunity to look after these cat bosses again. Thankful for their paw-rents, Mr. and Mrs. Wirajati for using our stay in cat sitting service and trusting our sitter with their babies and home.

🐶 MOLLY 🐶

Molly is one of our dog bosses (our regular dog clients-red).

Our dog sitter team had joyful times spent in dog sitting Molly for 5 days 4 nights recently.

We are always grateful for Molly’s parents, Emma and Reuben, for trusting us to look after Molly at their house and trusting us with their house when they are away. Also we are always thankful for their kindness and good teamwork with us during our service. 🙏🏻

🐈‍⬛ PusPus 🐈‍⬛

PusPus is one of street cats that live on the street and always hang out around convenient stores we’ve been feeding since early covid-19.

She’s dumped just around early covid 2020 and has been survived on the street since a very tiny kitten.

When we had many street/ stray cats in traditional markets to be TNR, we’ve been put PusPus on the list but whenever we wanted to trap her, she’s gone missing for a couple of weeks or we had no enough fund to do TNR again.

Until early December 2022, we’ve got some sponsor for TNR from lady boss of Downtime Cafe in Kerobokan Mrs. Patricia Diana, Miss Nadia and Miss Elodie. So we trapped PusPus a night before, put her temporarily in a furniture workshop, picked her the next morning and took her to be spayed by the vet with another kitten.

PusPus then got spayed by vet Eko in December 2022. Closed our TNR journey that year beautifully.

PusPus is no longer having unwanted litters. Thanks to the kindness of these amazing women!

We also have spayed PusPus’ kittens (check our next posts!). And now she lives her best life as one of well cared Bali street cats under our care.

Melody is a stray cat lives mostly around one of Alfamart stores in Kerobokan Kelod.

Our street feeders at Friends of Bali Dogs and Cats and some friends feed her daily since 2021 (and also sometimes other customers of Alfamart).

If you see her so chonky, she isn’t pregnant, she’s just too spoiled living her best life as a street cat 🙏🏻😊

🐶 MOLLY 🐶

Molly is one of our new puppy-bosses in 2023.

Her parents contacted us that they’re looking for a dog sitter for Molly. Just the main issue is Molly takes time to “accept” someone so it’d require harder efforts.

So I scheduled a house visit for one of our dog sitters to visit Molly and parents and had a trial walk.

First meeting, Molly was “half friendly” in the beginning but it’s normal for a puppy or dog with trust issue.

The end of the session, everything went well and she even followed the sitter’s lead on leash well. They have been good friends for 75% 😆.

The next week, Molly’s Mama needed to go out for few hours and Molly’s Dad was out of town. So we’re booked for 1x house care service and dog walking service for Molly.

Just when Mumma left, Molly and her sitter soon became good friends 90%. Molly then calmly followed the lead during walk and even happily went on scooter with her sitter around the blocks before Mama went back home!

That day they both have become 100% good friends!

Until today, Dec 28th, 2022, 00.48 WITA (Bali time), we have received 389 request messages from people we don’t know asking us to help rescuing or fostering kittens they’ve found.

While we are focusing on responding or replying people who are asking about our services or availability to pet sit, those messages so many times still make the inquiries unseen. With only me as the only one administrator (and sometimes our co-founders help me), we are struggling to accommodate everyone and we realize we can’t make everyone happy, especially when we can’t help taking kittens or puppies.

So if you have sent us a message asking us to foster or take a kitten(s) or a puppy(s), and we haven’t replied, we are really apologize as we have no chance yet to check yours. And we hope you’d like to understand that we aren’t in a position to be able to foster or rescue (if we do then we can’t give the professional sitting services).

We have humbly informed so many times that we aren’t a rescue group. Yes we rescued few times even just recently. But it was totally in urgent situation. If you’d like to understand more about what we are doing, feel free to check our highlight story about who we are on the FAQ 🙏🏼😊

Kyrill and Scruffy are two of our favorite and lovely dog bosses.

Jeanie and Ella met them first in the middle of 2021 and on end of February Jeanie were contacted by Pak Bart if she’d be available to dog sit on April for a week.

Our team then did the house visit to get to know Scruffy and Kyrill again before we took the job.

Since that, Jeanie and sometimes accompanied by Ella looked after Kyrill and Scruffy for minimum a week to almost a month.

Here are some documentation of our dog sitting service from March to October this year of Kyrill and Scruffy.

We are thankful for Kyrill and Scuffy’s pawrents, Pak Andy and Pak Bart, for trusting us to look after their babies when they were away.

Profit we earned from these services also helped us a lot for our projects for street cats and dogs in our areas. 🙏🏻

We have been pet sit these fluffy Bali dogs (Muka, Polly and Cok) and Princess Manggis regularly for almost 2 years now, whenever their Mama is away.

This weekends we have a chance to spend time and look after them again.

It is nice to close 2022 with lovely pet sitting lovely dogs and cats friends like these cuties.

We are super grateful for their Mama, Laure, for trusting us to look after her babies when she’s away 🙏🏻.

Some of the highlighted stories of our latest cat sitting and house sitting services for Miss Alexa.

It’s a joy to stay in their house to look after Snowy, Addison, Helmet and Orange for 15D 14N. Never a day our cat sitter felt bored!

We are thankful for this cute family and 😻 meow them so much ! ❤️

💯 profit and donation been used for some cats’ health check ups and medication. Just at the end of the cat sitting period we had few stray cats got hit by motorbike and got dirrhea that were needing urgent check up and treatments. Also some rescued cats that have been adopted by some local families we’ve been supported for health care and welfare were due in having in deworme tablets. This family has blessed many cats under our care 😊 🙏🏻
